Liangdancheng
Liangdancheng is located within Shengdile Village in the Economical and Technological Development Area of Zitong County, Jinyang City. It was built in the 1960s on the former site of China Academy of Engineering Physics. It was the development base of China's atomic bombs and missiles. Qiqushan Scenic Spot
Qiqushan Scenic Area is about 9 kilometers north of Zitong County, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, and south of Jianmen Shu Road Scenic Spot. The Jinniu Ancient Shu Road (now National Highway 108) runs from north to south. The entire tourist area is distributed in a belt along the ridge, covering an area of 29.3 square kilometers. Qiqushan Scenic Area is famous at home and abroad for being the birthplace of Wenchang culture and the largest pure ancient cypress forest in the country. Qiqu Mountain Temple
The Qiqu Mountain Temple is a famous scenic spot in the northwest of Sichuan. Here is the perfect place to burn incense and pray for the Taoist culture. The old temple of Qiqushan was formerly known as “Wenchang Palace”, which is the special temple of Zhang Wenzi, the “Wenchang Emperor”. Therefore, every important exam such as the college entrance examination, there are many students and parents who come here to burn incense. Dujiangyan Scenic Area
The Dujiangyan Irrigation System is located along the main branch of the Lancang River, west of Dujiangyan City. It was constructed in the Qin dynasty around 256 BC by Li Bing, Prefecture Chief of Shu County, and his son. It is one of the few ancient Chinese water conservancy projects that has remained preserved and intact. The project consists of three primary works—Yuzui Diverting Embankment, the Feishayan Spillway, and the Baopingkou Water Inlet, and two secondary works which include the Baizhangdi (the thousand-feet dam) and Renzidi (the y-shaped dam). They divide the Yongjiang River into an outer and an inner branch, the former of which is used to divert floods and the latter for irrigation. Yuewang Tower
The Yuewang Tower was built by the Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty. It is also known as the Yellow Crane Tower, Tengwang Pavilion, and Yueyang Tower. Li Baishen wrote "The Night's Monastery" and Du Fu's "Vietnam House Song" was created here. Yuewang Tower was damaged several times. Mount Qingcheng
Mount Qingcheng has long been praised as "Tranquil Paradise under Heaven," with its peaks encircling like city walls—hence the name. Legend says Zhang Daoling of the Eastern Han dynasty established Taoism here in a thatched hut, making it the ancestral home of Celestial Master Taoism, where temple incense still burns today. The mountain divides into front and back sections: the front features Taoist temples and cultural relics, commonly referred to as "Mount Qingcheng" by most travelers; the back excels in natural landscapes like pools, waterfalls, streams, and gorges, making it ideal for hiking and summer retreats. The highlights of Qianshan are concentrated. Starting from Jianfu Palace beside the mountain gate, follow the ancient stone steps upward past Natural Picture, Tianshi Cave, Chaoyang Cave, and Shangqing Palace, with the summit's Laojun Pavilion as the final vantage point. Tianshi Cave, also called Changdao Temple, is one of the mountain's largest Taoist complexes—its front courtyard holds a millennium-old ginkgo tree allegedly planted by Zhang Daoling, while the cliffside Ink-throwing Trough behind is said to be where the celestial master drew mountains with vermilion ink. Painting master Zhang Daqian once resided at Shangqing Palace, styling himself "Guest of Qingcheng." At the mountain's base, Yuecheng Lake's mirror-like waters add ethereal beauty to the lush greenery. The rear mountain entrance is the quaint Tai'an ancient town. From here, the trails connect Wulong gully and Feiquan gully into a loop, with views like Misty spring triple pools, Double spring water curtain cave, and Hundred-zhang long bridge accompanied by the sounds of water and shaded woods. The Longyin gorge walkway built along cliffs overlooks rushing streams below, making it a dedicated hiking route. The mountain stays pleasantly cool even in midsummer. The front mountain and back mountain entrances are not connected, usually requiring separate itineraries. Most 1-day tours choose one of the two. The front mountain's main temples can be visited in half a day, while the back mountain loop is longer and requires reserving most of a day. Chengdu Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum
Du Fu Thatched Cottage is the former Chengdu residence of the famous Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu. Du Fu lived here for nearly four years. During his stay, he created hundreds of poems. This place is thus regarded as the “holy land” of Chinese literature. Today's Du Fu Thatched Cottage has survived multiple dynasties and been restored many times. The most important architecture of the place is his former residence, the thatched house. There's none of the hustle and bustle of popular tourist attractions here. It's quiet and peaceful with few tourists, boasting both historical depth and unique scenery, making it perfect for family trips and educational outings with kids.

The scenery of Damiao Mountain is very beautiful, but you can't drive up there now. You have to park at the tourist service center below and take the scenic area bus. When there are fewer people, the waiting time is long. After getting off the bus, you have to walk a distance, which feels a lot more troublesome. It is not as popular as before. There used to be many people who came to Cypress Forest for leisure, but now they basically come to burn incense.

I read some negative reviews yesterday, which made me a little hesitant. But after coming today to pray for my child's studies, the overall experience was great. The staff were all very nice, and perhaps because there were few people, they were especially patient in explaining things to me. Thumbs up! 👍🏻

"After seeing Jiuzhaigou, no other waterscape is worth seeing," and this saying truly lives up to its reputation. The water is abundant, clear, and comes in various shapes and colors, creating a breathtaking spectacle. Visiting Jiuzhaigou in autumn allows you to admire both the water and the autumn foliage. Special praise goes to the efficient scheduling of the Jiuzhaigou sightseeing buses; there was virtually no waiting.

It was so much fun! We specifically chose to come after the National Day holiday, and there weren't many people at all. We could enjoy all the rides without any queues, it was so relaxing! Traveling during off-peak seasons is really cost-effective. Many rides could be played repeatedly since there were practically no people around, hahaha!

The entire scenic area isn't very large; you can take an elevator to the 14th floor. The 4D cinema is a separate ticket and not worth seeing, but the night view is decent. The dance and folk music performances are quite professional.

I visited Jiuzhaigou, and after landing in Chengdu, I took a taxi to Qingcheng Mountain. I took the cable car up the mountain around 2 pm and hiked down, which took more than three hours. I quickly visited the main attractions on Qingcheng Mountain, especially the one where Sun Wukong became an apprentice in Journey to the West. Overall, it was quite good.

This place is primarily for those seeking a refined, scholarly atmosphere. It's similar to a park; if you enjoy Du Fu's poetry, you can take your time to read and appreciate it, then stroll around. The snack stall near the north entrance is quite good, but unfortunately, time was too tight, so I didn't have time to go there for lunch.

A must-visit sightseeing destination near Chengdu! The entire area has a beautifully clean and nice environment with breathtakingly beautiful scenery as you walk up to the summit. It is an incredibly nice place to take photos, making it the perfect spot for a holiday that leaves you with nothing but good memories.
