It is a lava highland with an altitude of 293 meters and belongs to the Seto Inland Sea National Park. The top part is flat and looks like a roof, hence the name "Yashima". If you take a walk along the walking path up the mountain, there are three observation decks, "Tanguling", "Lion's Rock" and "Yozakutei". From here, you can see the spectacular scenery, in addition to the Seto Inland Sea National Park and the Setouchi overseas. In addition, the site of the ancient battlefield where Genpei fought is also unobstructed. In addition, you can also visit the 84th Shikoku Shrine - Yashima Temple and the "Shin Yashima Aquarium", which is located in a high position in the country. Yashima Temple is the 84th Shikoku Shrine located on Yashima Mountain, a Shingon sect sect temple. Passing through the mountain gate, you can see the beautiful main hall painted in vermilion. Standing in front of you is the "Minoyama Daimyojin", which is said to be dedicated to the Yashima fox who inherited the tragic story of the Genpei war. In the courtyard, there is a "Snow Garden" built with white tuff instead of snow, and a "Treasure Museum" that displays various cultural relics from the battle between Genpei. The main hall was built in the Kamakura period (around the 13th century) and is designated as an important national cultural property.Takamatsu · 5.5km from downtown

The Path of Angels is a miracle. Whenever the tide ebbs, a road connecting Nakayo Island and Benten Island, which has been integrated into Shodoshima Island, appears on the water. At this time, stepping on the Angel Road with sea water on both sides, you can walk to Zhongyu Island, which was originally in the center of the sea. And this bizarre phenomenon occurs only twice a day. There is a romantic legend here that if you walk across the sand embankment hand in hand with your loved one, you can realize your dream. If you have traveled, you must agree that this can only be the path traveled by angels.Tonosho · 19.9km from Takamatsu

The Golden Sword Hira Palace, nicknamed "Kim Biro", is located on the mountainside of Mount Kotohira and is dedicated to the God of God and Emperor Zonde. The long stone steps of the pilgrimage road are very famous, and there are 1368 steps to the inner shrine (Yankun Shrine). Climb to level 365 and you will reach the gate of the "two-story building into the mother house" structure. From the gate is the shrine grounds, and you can take the stone steps to carry the sedan chair like in the Edo period. On both sides of the road before the gate, souvenir shops, restaurants, etc. are lined up, and crutches are also rented out. Going through the gate, there are five confectionary shops "Five Renmin" with umbrellas lined up. It is a historical small shop that was licensed to operate in the shrine grounds due to the merits of the ancestors. Climbing up the stone steps, there are several ruins such as the main hall of the main hall, treasure hall, torii, etc., such as the Asahi Shrine with beautiful carvings on the pillars and gates, and the Shoin, which is decorated with wall paintings of Maruyama Yoshitsu and Ito Jakuchuku. The dots continue one after another, and when you reach level 785, you will arrive at the Palace. After climbing to level 1368, I finally arrived at the office, where I could have a panoramic view of Qinping's street scene. Kinto Hiragu was revered as the god of protection of the sea and the increase of agricultural production. In the Edo period, it was generally believed that it must be visited once in a lifetime, and many people from all over the country visited. At that time, there was even such a custom that people who could not visit the shrine in person would have their puppy go to the shrine on their behalf, and it was called "Kimpiro dog". It is still deeply revered and attracts many pilgrims, especially the New Year's shrine and the "Golden Sword Hira Matsuri", a regular festival in October.Kotohira · 28km from Takamatsu

Fushimi Inari Taisha

7.1
4.7/5
2.3k reviews
Fushimi Inari Taisha is located at the western foot of Mount Inari in southern Kyoto and serves as the head shrine of all Inari shrines across Japan. According to legend, in 711 AD, the deity Inari, who governs bountiful harvests and prosperous commerce, was enshrined here, and the shrine has thrived with worshippers for centuries. Its signature view is the vermilion "Senbon Torii," a seemingly endless tunnel of torii gates stretching up the mountain behind the main hall. This iconic scene is not only one of Kyoto's most representative images but also widely recognized due to the famous scene in the movie "Memoirs of a Geisha," where a young girl runs through the torii gate tunnel. A short walk east from JR Inari Station brings you to the entrance. Passing through the towering vermilion torii gate and proceeding along the main approach, you'll encounter the romon gate, said to have been donated by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1589 to pray for his mother's recovery. Beyond it lie the main hall and other principal structures. Stone fox statues are ubiquitous throughout the shrine, as foxes are considered messengers of the rice god Inari, often depicted holding keys or rice ears in their mouths. Before worshiping, visitors can purify their hands at the temizuya beside the main hall following the illustrated instructions, then clap their hands to pray at the main hall - prayers here often relate to business prosperity and financial fortune. Drawing omikuji fortunes and writing ema votive tablets are common practices; fox-faced ema can be personally decorated with expressions, while miniature torii-shaped ema are equally charming. Fox-shaped omamori amulets make popular souvenirs. Go around to the back of the main hall to find the entrance to the Senbon Torii. Hundreds upon hundreds of torii gates line the path all the way to the summit of Mt. Inari, with weathered, faded gates densely interwoven with bright vermilion ones. When sunlight filters through the gaps, the scene is particularly spectacular, making it a popular spot for photography enthusiasts. Each torii gate was donated by an individual or company, with the donor's name and date inscribed on the back. The path up the mountain is not a straight line; it includes both wide passages that seem to stretch on forever and smaller, parallel paths. Rest areas and sacred sites are scattered along the way, and most travelers come specifically for this mountain trail. After walking for about half an hour, the torii gates gradually become sparse. Upon reaching the Yotsutsuji intersection halfway up the mountain, you can overlook the Kyoto cityscape. Many people also make a special trip up the mountain at night to see the night view. Many travelers turn back here, but if you persist to the summit, the mountain path forms a loop. Several small shrines are distributed around the summit area, and a round-trip generally takes two to three hours, which is also equivalent to experiencing a traditional "Oyama Meguri" (mountain pilgrimage).Japan · Kyoto

Hakuri-ji Temple is located on the hillside by the sea next to Yashima Island. It is relatively quiet compared to the noisy big attractions. It is said that it was built by a Japanese monk who returned from the upper country during the Tang Dynasty. It has a long history. The mountain behind it is an excellent place for sea views. You can overlook the city and the Seto Islands. You can choose to go up the mountain by trail or Hakuri cable car. The trail is recommended because it is not far away.

Takamatsu City Central Park (Central Park) is a park near the hotel. I took a walk around it. When I was looking at the statue, an old Japanese man talked a lot to me. I only understood that Mihara played basketball and Koshien... I am ashamed. I regret not having enough knowledge when I need it.

It's so beautiful. When you sit on the floor in Teshima Art Museum, you can see the wind, the sunlight, and the flow of life. The sea here is very clear, beyond my expectation. I'm sorry that my skills are too poor, and the photos can't capture its beauty.

Hidden within this room lies the charm of nature. Pushing open the door, verdant greenery greets you first. Leaning against the window, the murmuring of a spring fills the air, while mist and haze drift into the room along the window sill. Each season presents its own unique beauty here: spring brings forth new bamboo shoots, summer offers lush shade, autumn fills the courtyard with the fragrance of osmanthus, and winter sees snow tapping against the window. Every detail in the room reflects thoughtful consideration: the mattress's firmness perfectly supports a tired back, the toiletries have a pleasant, non-irritating scent, and a warm, yellow light awaits you at the door when you return late at night. This is not just a temporary resting place, but a sanctuary for the soul. After a few days, even the most tense nerves gradually relax, allowing you to rediscover your most relaxed state.
