Harbin Drug Group Pharmaceutical Factory 6 is an old factory complex in Harbin, now a popular check-in spot dubbed the "Louvre of Northeast China." The main building, completed in 2004 with construction and decoration costs nearing CNY 100 million, bears a striking resemblance to France's Louvre, blending classical, Baroque, and Rococo European styles. Its exterior features intricate three-dimensional carvings and reliefs, with columns, doors, and windows each showcasing unique designs, creating a majestic vista from afar. Inside, the scene shifts dramatically: layers of golden ornaments adorn the space, and a massive crystal chandelier cascades from the upper floors to the second-floor hall. The corridors display European oil paintings and sculptures, earning it the playful nickname "Versailles of the Northeast." The building also houses a printmaking museum, with multiple exhibition halls showcasing works by printmakers from Heilongjiang and across China, worth lingering over. Founded in 1977, this historic pharmaceutical factory was once famous for products like Gaizhonggai, Yandi, and Hutong. After relocating entirely in 2021, the old site lay idle until reopening to the public in 2024. Its "palace-like" complex quickly went viral, attracting over a million visitors to date, making it a flagship destination for industrial tourism in Harbin. For the best experience, enter through the northeast gate, explore from the upper floors downward, and don't miss the printmaking exhibits, corridor paintings, or the grand chandelier. The main building's frontal view is partially obscured by an overpass and heavy traffic, making full shots challenging, but the exterior carvings, ground-floor hall, and colonnades offer excellent photo opportunities for a leisurely stroll.China · Harbin

The construction of Dongfanghong Reservoir started in July 1958. It was named after the location of the reservoir was adjacent to Dongfanghong Farm (now Hongguang Farm) in Hailun County. In the early stage of the construction of the reservoir project, it was designed by the Water Conservancy Bureau of the Songhua River Special Administration and the Hulan River Basin Survey and Design Team of the Provincial Department of Water Resources (design according to the flood once in 50 years, and checked by the flood once in 200 years), and Hailun County raised funds on its own to mobilize The county's rural labor construction. In October 1958, the earth dam was initially closed. In 1960, a water conveyance tunnel and a spillway were dug through, and a total of 73,000 cubic meters of earth and stone was completed. Because the reservoir project was launched during the "Great Leap Forward" period, the design standard was low, and the conditions were limited. The dam foundation's confining water was not treated, the downstream slope protection layer of the dam was built with humus, and the dam crest was not As a protective layer, the construction in winter has not been rolled. The body of the water conveyance tunnel is 58 meters unlined, and there is water leakage in the lining part. The spillway only needs to open an opening for flood control, and the cross section and elevation cannot meet the requirements for preventing floods that occur once in a century.Hailun · 30.3km from downtown

The Sun Island Scenic Area is a small island located on the north bank of the Songhua River in Harbin City. In the early years, the Manchu people fished and hunted here. The Songhua River is rich in squid. In the Manchu language, the pronunciation of this type of fish is very similar to the pronunciation of "Sun" in Chinese. It has been known as "Sun Island" ever since the name was passed down a long time ago. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, Sun Island was developed and utilized as a naval battalion, and was later used as a base for the navy to reconnoiter and train. Today, the natural scenery of Sun Island is exceptionally beautiful, and the landscape inside the park represents a perfect interpretation of the harmony between humankind and nature. The island has plenty of European villa buildings, where the Russian people come to spend their summer breaks.China · Harbin

Located in Laodaowai Nansan, Naner, and Nantoudao Streets, the surrounding buildings are either renovated or rebuilt. The street is very quiet. The old shop is a package shop. Fan Jiyong, don't come at mealtime, there will be a huge crowd of people, waiting in line, it's too prosperous. The street and the bronze statue in the courtyard will take you back to the past.China · Harbin

Suihua Science and Technology Culture Museum is located in the northern part of Suihua city. It integrates culture, nature, history and technology. There are three floors of exhibition halls to visit. The third floor is the science and technology museum. It is not very big and children like it more. Unfortunately, the projects that should have been able to be experienced and operated were not open, so the children did not have enough fun.

It is really worth going. The architectural style of Lin Feng's former residence is a typical northeastern residential building. The former residence faces south and has seven main rooms, five east and west wing rooms, and an antique gatehouse with flying eaves and arches. The gate is majestic. A pair of lions carved with black jade stand on both sides of the gate, which further highlights the majesty of the former residence. There is an ear room on each side of the gatehouse. There is an 18-meter-long screen wall between the main room and the gate. In front of the main room and between the east and west wing rooms are four large and two small flower beds surrounded by spruce. There are dozens of pine trees planted around the walls of the former residence. In winter, the green pines and white snow are particularly spectacular; in summer, flowers are in full bloom, and the pines and willows are dripping with green, which forms a beautiful scenery with the simplicity, tranquility, and ancient fragrance of the former residence.

Looking for the Dongfanghong Reservoir In the Gudou Hot Spring Town in Xinhui, Jiangmen, the morning air is particularly fresh, and I was awakened by the singing of birds. Yesterday, I took a walk around the Shanquan Water World and passed a dam with the words "Dongfanghong Reservoir" written on it. Unfortunately, the road to the dam was locked. In the morning, I walked up the road at the foot of the God of Wealth Mountain and continued to look for the Dongfanghong Reservoir. I don't know if it was too early, but I finally walked to the gate of the reservoir. It was still locked, and I could only see half of the clear water through the gap in the door.

The Sun Island Panda House is clean and tidy, with spacious areas for the pandas to move around in. You can clearly see the pandas eating and playing. The ticket price is reasonable, and it's a great experience to bring your family. I would recommend it to panda lovers.

"First came Fujia Dian, then Harbin." During the Qianlong era, immigrants from within the Great Wall gradually settled in Harbin. Later, more people migrated to Northeast China, and the Daowai area gradually became a bustling hub for daily life and commerce. In the early 20th century, with Tsarist Russia's ambition to plunder Northeast China's resources, the construction of the Chinese Eastern Railway began, gradually forming a Chinese Baroque architectural complex with a "Western style outside, Chinese style inside." However, upon closer inspection, the exterior wall reliefs do not depict Western angels, but rather pomegranates, bats, peonies, and toads—symbols of many children, blessings, wealth, and peace—truly reflecting the deep-seated cultural confidence of Chinese merchants.
