Things to do in Songpan

Returning to Chengdu from Jiuzhaigou, I took the high-speed rail in Songpan and rested for a while in the ancient city. There are many mushroom sellers in the ancient city, and they can also take you to pick mushrooms. It is a very distinctive town in western Sichuan.

This is not only a stopover and supply station for trips to Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, Hongyuan Grasslands, and Ruoergai Flower Lake, but also houses the Long March Monument, a monument unlike any other commemorative structure. The monument garden is vast, rich in content, and offers captivating scenery.

The Min River boasts not only magnificent natural scenery but also a profound legacy of revolutionary history. Therefore, upon reaching its source, one feels a reverence for nature and a spark of revolutionary passion. As the source of the Min River, the verdant mountains and green grasses, embracing the azure waters and blue skies, evokes a sense of urgency and a desire to forge ahead.

Xuebaoding is the highest peak of Minshan Mountain and one of the seven sacred mountains of Bonpo religion in Tibet. Under the erosion of ancient and modern glaciers and the thawing and weathering of high altitude, the four walls of Xuebaoding are steep and sparkling with silver light, overlooking the Huanglong Scenic Area.

The Minjiang River source is located at a high altitude, but many people don't know about it and not many people go there. Therefore, the air quality is very good, and the mountain scenery is also nice, with blue sky, green grass and clear water. It feels very comfortable there, just like a plateau in the world. However, I don't suffer from altitude sickness, because I have lived on a plateau at an altitude of about 2,000 meters all year round, so I am more adapted to high altitudes. People in plain areas need to pay attention to preventing altitude sickness.

A place that is more mysterious and better because not many people know about it. It is close to Guchaegu, but still has hidden European-style natural beauty.

Chuanzhushen is really a transportation fortress. It goes to Jiuzhaigou in the north, Huanglong Scenic Area in the east, Norgay Grassland in the west, Munigou and Songpinggou in the south, etc., so it is also a transit point. As a town, it is relatively large in scale, with many hotels. There are not many local scenic spots. The Red Army Memorial Hall is one of them. You can come and visit. It is also a very good red tourist attraction. There is a distinctive Red Army statue on the top of the mountain, but it is too high to climb up.

The blue sky and white clouds are pure and beautiful.

It felt magnificent when I drove by. Overall it was okay. When I entered the temple, a lama came to preach. The lama accompanied me throughout the whole process, looking around and worshipping. However, we did not go into the building, so we had no idea what the inside looked like. I bought a thangka and lit a butter lamp, so that I could accompany my mother to experience it.
