Old City Baku is the historic core of Baku, enclosed by ancient city walls. Its history is generally believed to date back at least to the 12th century, though some scholars suggest its origins can be traced as far back as the 7th century. The Old City is adjacent to the Caspian Sea, with cobblestone streets winding along the slopes. Local families still live deep within the alleys, where old buildings, workshops, and residences stand side by side. Walking through them, you can both sense the weight of the historical sites and encounter the vibrant local life of Baku. The charm of the Old City is also hidden in its small alleys. In the Middle Ages, it was a frequent stop for caravans. The Multani Caravanserai and Bukhara Caravanserai, which hosted merchants from India and Central Asia, still stand today. The alleys are lined with carpet workshops, handicraft shops, and souvenir stalls, as well as many traditional restaurants serving local dishes like pilaf and kebabs.Azerbaijan · Baku

The Flame Tower is composed of three towers and is the tallest building in Baku. It is named after its appearance that resembles a flame. The project, designed by the American architecture firm HOK, is currently used as a luxury residential apartment, an office building and a hotel (Fairmont Baku Flame Towers Hotel and Resort). These three huge "tongues of fire" can be seen in almost any corner of Baku (it is recommended to watch on the coast of Baku), and they are very conspicuous. Whenever night falls, the tower body, which completely covers the LED screen, will show a variety of effects, just like a beating flame, showing the vigorous vitality of modern Baku.Azerbaijan · Baku

The construction of the Friday Mosque can be traced back to 743 AD. It is the second oldest mosque in the Caucasus and the oldest mosque in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan rebuilt the Friday Mosque in 2013. After its construction, the Friday Mosque has been destroyed and rebuilt many times, especially in Shamakhi, where a devastating earthquake in 1859 reduced it to ruins, and in 1918 it was severely damaged by ethnic conflicts.Azerbaijan · Baku

Fountain Square in the center of Baku, on the east side of the intersection of Lone Street and Azerbaijan Street, outside the northeast corner of Lao Chen. The greening of the Fountain Square is a very good one among the capital squares of the Three Transcaucasian countries. The center of the square is a statue and a large stepped fountain. There are many classic and locally well-known buildings around the square, such as the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences and the Azerbaijan Literature Museum, as well as a large number of theaters, shops and restaurants.Azerbaijan · Baku
Gandzasar Monastery

Gandzasar Monastery

1.7
The Karabakh region has a larger and better-preserved Gandzasar monastery. The central building of the monastery is the Church of St. John the Baptist. The bas-relief on the outside of the high roof of the church is a fine art of its kind in Armenia. From Stepanakert to the village of Vank at the foot of the mountain where Gandzasar is located, you can do CMB, but there are only two departures every day at 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Most foreign tourists come to visit the monastery through a group tour.Kalbajar · 38km from Shusha

The Flame Hotel is a classic building in Baku! It is very beautiful and majestic! Also known as the Flame Towers. You can overlook the Caspian Sea! The hotel is a five-star hotel, more modern and with newer facilities than the Four Seasons Hotel.

Juma Mosque, located in the old city of Baku, is relatively easy for tourists to visit. It was built in the 12th century. According to archaeological research, it was built on the site of a Zoroastrian temple. It has been repaired and expanded many times in history. The entire part of the mosque today was rebuilt in 1899.

The wind stopped, the rain stopped, and that was the purest feeling of Baku. Visiting the city of Baku made people feel like they were there and lingered. There are also high-rise buildings here, but the prices are not high, making it suitable for tourism.
