Blue Bay is located on the southeast coast of Mauritius, south of Mahebourg and not far from the international airport. The bay's water features distinct shades of blue, transitioning from light green near the shore to deep blue, and with its fine white sand, it is a favorite leisure spot for locals. The area is home to a wide variety of coral, including patches of fire coral, table coral, and the famous brain coral. Colorful tropical fish swim among the corals, and you may even encounter sea turtles. The lagoon is shallow and calm, with reefs outside to block the waves, so even snorkeling beginners can safely enter the water in shallow areas just a few meters deep.Pointe d'Esny · 4.7km from Plaine Magnien

Pont Naturel is located on the southern coast of Mauritius and is a natural stone arch bridge made of black basalt. It is famous for its natural arch structure formed by the long-term erosion of coastal rocks by waves. The dark volcanic rock contrasts with the azure seawater, creating a unique coastal landscape in Mauritius. Waves constantly crash against the rock walls, passing through the underside and crevices of the rocks, creating layers of white spray and showcasing the powerful natural force of the Indian Ocean coast. The view here is affected by tides, wind, and sea conditions, so you may see different wave patterns and seawater colors when visiting at different times.Camp Carol · 5.4km from Plaine Magnien

Totof Tours | Blue Bay Mauritius is a highly popular water activity in southeastern Mauritius. Departing from the public beach at Blue Bay, you will board a glass-bottom boat with transparent viewing windows in the hull and head into Blue Bay Marine Park. This sea area was designated as a protected marine park as early as the 1980s. The lagoon water is clear and shallow, with abundant coral and fish, and is considered the signature spot for snorkeling in the area. You don't need to get into the water during the trip; through the glass bottom beneath your feet, you can see reefs formed by brain coral, staghorn coral, and mushroom coral. Schools of damselfish and chromis swim among the corals, and you may even encounter hawksbill sea turtles that make their home here. The boat operator will also explain the types of coral along the way. The boat will then stop at a snorkeling spot, where you can jump into the shallow water to swim closely with the fish. Masks, snorkels, and other equipment are provided on board, and life jackets are readily available. The lagoon has small waves and shallow water, making it easy for first-time snorkelers and families traveling with children to participate.Pointe d'Esny · 4.6km from Plaine Magnien

Île aux Cerfs is a small island off the east coast of Mauritius. It is home to beautiful beaches in Mauritius, and it is said that if you haven't been to Île aux Cerfs, you haven't really been to Mauritius. The beautiful scenery where the sea meets the sky and the rich variety of water sports are particularly appealing. Island environment Île aux Cerfs features a beautiful lagoon with wide, calm waters and white, fine sand. It gets its name from the herds of deer that once waded across the bay. The island has beautiful scenery, with coconut trees and a plant called Filaos everywhere, and it is famous for its sandbank. Île aux Cerfs is not large and is surrounded by black reefs and lush vegetation. It is famous for its sandbank, where even non-swimmers can walk a few hundred m during low tide from Île aux Cerfs to its neighboring eastern island without worrying about being submerged. Walking on the sandbank, with the sunlight shining on the rippling water, it looks like a layer of sparkling crushed silver spread over the surface, or like crumpled green satin. You can experience the beautiful scenery of the blue sea and clear sky; it is very beautiful. Island visit tips and water sports To visit Île aux Cerfs, you can book a local day tour, which you can inquire about at your hotel. Tours generally depart from Trou d'Eau Douce. It takes about 20 minutes by boat to reach Île aux Cerfs. Once there, you can enjoy various water sports at your leisure, such as windsurfing, speedboating, glass-bottom boat tours, parasailing, diving, fishing, surfing, and banana boating. Of course, the main activities are swimming and enjoying the sun and sand. Other activities The small island of Île aux Cerfs also features an 18-hole golf course and two restaurants. Strolling around Île aux Cerfs, you can play in the water with your loved one or lie on the fine sand and enjoy a healthy sunbath. When you get hungry, slow down and enjoy a leisurely Mauritian lunch at a seaside restaurant—how wonderful!Beau Champ · 22.2km from Plaine Magnien

The park is home to the world's largest population of Aldabra giant tortoises, up to 1,500. Since the tortoises in Mauritius were hunted to extinction by humans, the current tortoises are all introduced from Seychelles. Learn about the history of the Mauritian tortoise and other reptiles and the dodo through the Reptile Museum in the tortoise park. The Crocodile Park, located in the mountains and forests, was established in 1985 and is located in a nature reserve in the southern part of the Mauritius island, with a lush tropical rainforest landscape. In addition to tortoises and more than 2,000 crocodiles, the wonderful and colorful museum also houses Mauritian fruit bats, monkeys, iguanas, bats, deer, geckos, eels, wild boars, etc. There are also an insect museum with a collection of 23,000 species and a fossil museum of "hundreds of millions of years under the sea" in the park. It is said that the entomological museum is filled with the private collection of a French entomologist. In the museum, visitors can see all kinds of strange insects, some of which are the size of a human face. Take a close photo with animals The tortoises here can even carry people slowly forward. In addition, visitors can also get close contact with a kind of bat that loves to eat mangoes - fruit bat. Those furry little guys are not afraid of people and can hang upside down in front of tourists for their pictures. Want to take a photo with a baby crocodile? Here the wishes of tourists can be realized. There is a photo booth at the entrance of the park. Visitors can take pictures of the little crocodile. The staff will also use the PS software to remove the leather rope P on the mouth of the little crocodile. The cost is about 400 rupees. There are fast food restaurants in the park, and crocodile meat is sold. Crocodile leather goods can also be purchased at the entrance.Riviere des Anguilles · 13.9km from Plaine Magnien

Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark is located in the Black River District near Chamarel in southwestern Mauritius. It is a rare natural colored sand dune. The debris and volcanic ash left by ancient volcanic activity have weathered over many years in the hot, humid climate. The iron, aluminum, and other minerals they contain have oxidized in varying proportions, gradually creating layers of red, brown, purple, blue, and green bands. These bands spread out along the undulating hills, resembling, from a distance, a piece of colorful silk wrinkled by the wind, cascading down from the lush forest. The sand dune area is small and enclosed by railings and boardwalks. Visitors can walk along the viewing platforms to look down. From different angles, they can see the subtle changes in the direction and intensity of the color bands, which are especially distinct when sunlight shines obliquely. The sand dunes themselves are barren, forming a sharp contrast with the surrounding lush vegetation and adding a touch of mystery.Chamarel · 31.5km from Plaine Magnien

It is also called "Blue Bay" because of its clear blue water. It is about 600 meters long and is a wide beach in Kenting National Park. There are many water activities, including sailing, jet skiing, banana boats, surfing, and other recreational projects. You can also play beach volleyball with friends. It is a famous diving resort. There are various corals, tropical fish, shellfish, sea lilies, etc. along the coast, and the underwater landscape is extremely beautiful.

The Natural Bridge is a natural attraction in Mauritius. There is no bus to reach it. The scenery of this attraction is spectacular, and you can see beautiful waves. You can walk on the Natural Bridge, but you have to walk slowly because the road surface is uneven.

There are abundant coral reefs and various marine fish under the sea in Blue Bay, Mauritius. It has always been a diving paradise. You can dive on your own or take a snorkeling trip on a glass-bottomed boat. For those who are afraid of diving, you can also enjoy the beautiful underwater world. This is a very good choice. You can give it a try.

🏝️ Ile aux Cerfs — A Little Piece of Paradise! Location: Off the east coast, MauritiusIf there's one place you absolutely cannot miss in Mauritius, it's Ile aux Cerfs! From the moment we stepped onto the speedboat from Trou d'Eau Douce, we knew we were in for something special. The boat ride across the turquoise lagoon was beautiful in itself — the water changes from deep blue to the most incredible shades of aquamarine and emerald green. The Waterfall — A Beautiful Surprise! On our way to the island, our boat made a wonderful stop at Grand River South East Waterfall — and honestly, it was one of the absolute highlights of the day! It's such a unique experience because it's one of the few waterfalls in the world that flows directly into the sea. We cruised gently up the river, surrounded by lush tropical greenery, and as we got closer, we could feel the cool mist on our faces. The sight of fresh water cascading dramatically into the ocean is just breathtaking — and keep an eye out for monkeys in the trees along the riverbanks, we were lucky enough to spot a few! 🐒 It's incredibly photogenic and feels like discovering a hidden gem deep in nature. Definitely don't book a tour that skips this!🌊 The BeachThe moment you arrive, it takes your breath away. Soft, powdery white sand that feels like walking on silk, and water so clear you can see the seabed even waist-deep. It's exactly what you picture when you dream of a tropical island 🏝️. My tip? Walk past the main jetty area — keep going a little further along the shore, and you'll find quieter spots that are just as beautiful.🚤 The ExperienceWe took a speedboat tour that included the waterfall stop, snorkelling, and a delicious BBQ lunch — fresh grilled fish, chicken, rice, salads, and tropical fruit. It was simple but so tasty, and eating with that view? Priceless. We stopped for snorkelling on the way too — the coral and colourful tropical fish were easy to see even just near t

The volcanic terrain of Mauritius has created a natural landscape with a low mountain but strange shapes. The seven-colored soil in Chamarel was discovered by a Frenchman who was planting sugarcane fields here. Among the sugarcane fields here, only this piece of land is barren. After geologists went there to develop and study, this magical and magnificent seven-colored soil was revealed to the world.
