Alona Beach is a stretch of white sand beach extending nearly 1 km, flanked by low rocky cliffs at both ends and curving along the coast. The sand is white and fine, and the water near the shore is clear. With coral reefs distributed underwater, it is a popular spot for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts, where marine life such as corals, schools of tropical fish, and sea turtles can be observed. Departing from the beach by boat, you can head to nearby marine sanctuaries like Balicasag Island and Pamilacan Island for island hopping and scuba diving, or take a dolphin-watching tour. Daytime is suitable for walking on the beach and swimming, while the evening is a great time to watch the sunset. After dark, the restaurants and bars along the coast gradually become lively.Bohol Island · 2.8km from Panglao Municipality

Tagbilaran City is a famous port city in the Philippines, and the island's airport is also located here. The name is composed of two words in the Visayan language, meaning "secret sanctuary", which has two meanings: first, Tagbilaran City is located in a calm and secret strait; second, it was once a refuge for locals to escape from Moro attackers. Today, the city is full of noisy three-wheeled taxis, and there is no peace and seclusion. Many of the Philippines' famous cathedrals are also located here. If you are interested in both water and land activities, use this very commercial city as your base camp.Tagbilaran · 12.8km from Panglao Municipality

Beautiful island just a boat ride from Bohol. We had a snorkeling trip here and were spoilt with beautiful crystal clear water. We got to see turtles and beautiful marine life. The locals all work together to keep the island clean. Lunch was simple but good and there are ladies selling souvenirs. Overall a beautiful island to visit.Tips: Go early to avoid the crowdsReasons to Recommend: Snorkeling and diving

There are not many dolphins in Bohol Island. Too many human activities have disturbed the dolphins. They are very lazy. I went there early in the morning and found many boats waiting there. There were also many motor sounds.
