It has survived the erosion of time and has stood for thousands of years. After the changes of different regimes, I am glad that the Church of the Nativity still stands. The church is now jointly managed by the Roman Catholic Church, the Greek Orthodox Church and the Armenian Apostolic Church. In 2012, the Church of the Nativity was listed as a World Heritage Site in Palestine by UNESCO; and in 2016, a team of Italian monument restorers discovered the shining secret of the 4th century AD hidden behind the cement wall. Unexpectedly, it turned out to be a mural made of gorgeous mosaic tiles. After repainting, it showed its brilliance again.
