It can be reached via the Guilin-Longsheng section of National Highway 321, turning onto the Heping-Ping'an road. It is 95 km from downtown Guilin. Opened in 1990 as a sightseeing village within the Longji Scenic Area, it is a tourist village for experiencing Zhuang folk customs. Built during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, it is a core village for sightseeing in the Longji Scenic Area. It is a Zhuang ethnic settlement that preserves unique Zhuang clothing and simple, traditional living customs. The village maintains traditional three-story wooden stilt houses, which are typical of the stilt architecture found in northern Guilin. Surrounded by rice terraces and ecological forests, it has an elegant environment and a mild climate throughout the seasons. The terraces within the area reach an altitude of 880 m at their highest and 380 m at their lowest, with a vertical elevation difference of 500 m. There are 15,862 rice terraces of varying sizes; the largest is only 0.62 mu, while the smallest can only accommodate 3 rice seedlings. The terraces are like chains and ribbons, winding from the foot of the mountain to the summit, with small hills resembling snails and large mountains resembling pagodas. In spring, they look like layers of silver ribbons; in summer, they roll like waves of green; in fall, they stack like golden pagodas; and in winter, they resemble dragons playing in the water. It is a place that tourists, photographers, and artists flock to. Tourist reception facilities and services are well-developed, making dining, accommodation, and transportation convenient. There are currently over 80 guesthouses. There are two main viewing spots: the Seven Stars with the Moon viewing spot and the Nine Dragons and Five Tigers/Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl viewing spot.
