Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark is located in the Black River District near Chamarel in southwestern Mauritius. It is a rare natural colored sand dune. The debris and volcanic ash left by ancient volcanic activity have weathered over many years in the hot, humid climate. The iron, aluminum, and other minerals they contain have oxidized in varying proportions, gradually creating layers of red, brown, purple, blue, and green bands. These bands spread out along the undulating hills, resembling, from a distance, a piece of colorful silk wrinkled by the wind, cascading down from the lush forest. The sand dune area is small and enclosed by railings and boardwalks. Visitors can walk along the viewing platforms to look down. From different angles, they can see the subtle changes in the direction and intensity of the color bands, which are especially distinct when sunlight shines obliquely. The sand dunes themselves are barren, forming a sharp contrast with the surrounding lush vegetation and adding a touch of mystery.

Baie du Cap

Baie du Cap is a small headland on the southwest coast of Mauritius that juts into the South Indian Ocean. It is named for its remote location facing the open ocean, as if one has reached the end of the land. The coastal road here makes a sharp U-turn around the giant rock at the tip of the headland. Taking a photo from above the rock, capturing the road and the blue sea in the same frame, is a highly recognizable scene on the southwest coastline. Climb the stone steps to the small observation deck on top of the rock to enjoy the sea breeze, with the deep blue Indian Ocean on one side and the winding coastline on the other. In the evening, this is a great spot to watch the sunset over the sea as the sun slowly sinks into the Indian Ocean on one side of the headland. The beach is also scattered with round reefs of various sizes. At low tide, as seawater flows through the crevices between the rocks, it creates a series of wonderful sounds.

Le Morne Brabant stands on the Le Morne Peninsula at the southwestern tip of Mauritius. It is a basalt monolith over 500m above sea level, composed mainly of ancient volcanic rock, with a steep, prominent profile and slopes covered in vegetation, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding coral reefs, beaches, and ocean. It is an iconic natural landmark of Mauritius. Visitors can enjoy views of the mountain, lagoon, and coastline from the surrounding area, or participate in hiking activities according to access regulations and experience the mountain's natural environment along the trails.

Located on the west coast of the island of Mauritius, the park is an excellent soil that can be close to nature. There are a large number of birds, as well as rare giant tortoises and other animals in the park. Against the backdrop of African-style vegetation and scenery, it can be described as a "miniature Kenya". Walking with Lions One of the must-see experiences in Mauritius is "Walking With Lions" in the Casela Natural Park. Accompanied by professionals, you can experience the thrill of walking side by side with the king of the jungle, and even play in the streams and grasslands together to stage a live-action version of "Tarzan." Afterwards, you will be awarded a bravery certificate as a souvenir. Four-wheel drive You can also choose to rent a four-wheel drive or a more maneuverable two-wheel Segaway to travel freely through the lush tropical forests, waiting for unexpected encounters with zebras, tortoises and ostriches. A more exciting experience is the ropeway gliding project through the valley in the park. You will experience a wonderful journey like a bird soaring in the sky in the gliding distance of hundreds of meters. In addition, the park has free parking lots, restaurants, grocery stores, 4D cinemas, souvenir shops and other service facilities for tourists' leisure and entertainment needs. The park is very large and rich in content. If you want to play it all, it will take at least half a day.

The park features multiple hiking trails and viewpoints, allowing visitors to trek through the forest and enjoy views of valleys, waterfalls, and distant mountains. Some high-altitude viewpoints offer panoramic views of the vast green gorges, providing expansive vistas when the weather is clear.

Chamar Falls is located on the southwest side of Mauritius Island, adjacent to the famous Seven Color Earth Scenic Spot. This is the filming location of the movie "Jurassic Park". While viewing the scene, think of the shock of being in the age of dinosaurs! Chamar Falls is formed by the convergence of two rivers, with a drop of nearly 100 meters, which is equivalent to the height of the Statue of Liberty. In the rainy season from November to April of the following year, two water columns can be seen galloping down. Going to the seven-color soil, after driving into the scenic spot, you must pass this place along the road, and there is a free parking lot on the side. The waterfall has two viewing platforms, one near the parking lot and the other on the hillside, accessible by stone steps. More tourists will choose to take a photo at a higher viewing platform, because there is a full view of the waterfall. Looking around, there are mountains all around, and there are no traces of rivers, lakes and seas, and this clear spring on the top of the mountain is very intriguing.

Baie du Tamarin is located in Tamarin on the west coast of Mauritius, backed by mountains and facing the Indian Ocean. This sheltered area with clear waters is a signature spot in Mauritius for boat trips to watch and swim with wild dolphins, and the sea is exceptionally calm in the early morning. As you head out from the shore by speedboat, the water transitions from nearshore turquoise to deep sapphire blue. Once a pod is spotted, the boat slows down for close observation. Dolphins often leap from the water in succession, and you may even encounter them riding the bow waves. The boat trip itinerary usually includes time to get into the water. Putting on a mask and jumping in to watch sunlight beam through the clear water as pods of dolphins glide past is a long-standing, popular experience here.

Underwater Waterfall Mauritius with LagoonFLIGHT

4.1

Near the Morne Peninsula at the southwestern tip of Mauritius, there is a stunning natural wonder - the Underwater Waterfall Mauritius with LagoonFLIGHT. Although it is called a waterfall, it is not a real pouring of water, but a visual illusion created by the refraction of light, seabed topography and ocean currents. It is known as "one of the most fascinating illusions on Earth." The magic of the underwater waterfalls comes from Mauritius' unique underwater structure. The edge of the continental shelf where the Mona Peninsula extends to the Indian Ocean suddenly drops sharply, forming an underwater canyon as deep as 4,000 meters. The ocean currents continue to push the white sand in the shallow sea area into the abyss. Under the sunlight, the contrast between the sand and the deep blue sea water creates the illusion of "water falling into a bottomless pit". Looking down from the air, it looks like a huge crack is torn in the ocean, and the silver-white "waterfall" rushes into the center of the earth with a majestic force, forming a surreal contrast with the surrounding emerald lagoon.

Le Morne is the premier seaside resort area on the southwest corner of Mauritius. It not only offers the beautiful beach scenery of Mauritius but also features stunning fjords and soft, fine sand that draw visitors in. Le Morne is home to many hotels. Beyond the public beaches, you can also hone your skills on the unique, peninsula-shaped golf course here. The best beaches are private hotel beaches, so if you are not a guest, security will not let you use the lounge chairs. However, there are a few public beaches, and the end near the Mistral Club is perfect for kitesurfing. Water sports For those who love water sports, sailing, surfing, and speedboating are also highly recommended here. Horseback riding by the sea is another popular activity, and there are even ponies suitable for children to ride.

The volcanic terrain of Mauritius has created a natural landscape with a low mountain but strange shapes. The seven-colored soil in Chamarel was discovered by a Frenchman who was planting sugarcane fields here. Among the sugarcane fields here, only this piece of land is barren. After geologists went there to develop and study, this magical and magnificent seven-colored soil was revealed to the world.

Looking from a distance on the Xiamar Plateau of Heihe Mountains, three waterfalls fall from the cliff, which is very spectacular. This is the first place of Mao Tour and one of the famous scenic spots. The waterfall is hanging on the cliff of a huge stone cave, more than 100 meters high. From a distance, we can see two fine white exercises, swaying with the wind and facing the scene. It really feels like flying down 3,000 feet. The scenery around Shamal Falls is beautiful, and the vegetation is very good.
