Kaiyuan South Cave is located at the foot of the mountains about 8 kilometers south of Kaiyuan City. There are three springs and pools with gurgling water all year round, one of which can be entered by boat. The cave is not only cool and pleasant, but also has stalactite wonders such as stone buds, stalagmites, and stone pillars. This spring water is the main source of water for drinking and irrigation of farmland for local residents in Kaiyuan. Outside the cave, there are towering ancient trees and steep rocks. In the third year of Ming Jiajing, Yang Shen, the top scholar exiled to Yunnan, visited here and wrote the words "Nan Dong" on the side of the cave. The name of the cave has been used until now. In the second year of Ming Wanli, Zou Yinglong, the governor of Yunnan, wrote "Tongling Cave Records", so it is also called "Tongling Cave". There is a statue of a laughing Buddha at the foot of a small cliff. Visitors can buy chips and throw them into its belly, and it will make a loud laugh. It is very interesting. There is also a statue of a rhinoceros looking at the moon next to it. There is a legend about this rhinoceros. It is said that a rhinoceros was chased into a cave by nearby villagers, and spring water flowed out of the cave. In order to prevent the rhinoceros from running away, people blocked the cave entrance with stones, but water suddenly gushed out everywhere in the village. After digging the cave entrance, the water stopped.Kaiyuan · 8.3km from downtown

ZHUJIA HUAYUAN is located on Hanlin Street in Jianshui County. It was a home and ancestral temple built by the Zhu Weiqing brothers in the waning years of the Qing Dynasty. Within the park, the ancestral hall, temple, living quarters and gardens are all magnificent and majestic. Visitors to the site can take the opportunity to learn about the architectural style of the southwestern residential gardens. The entirety of the Zhu Family Garden is built on a south-to-north axis and, for Jianshui, is a typical and classical combination of residential buildings and gardens. The buildings are, of course, laid out in a specific order. In the southeast corner of the Zhu Family Garden stands a Huaiyuan Hall with an exhibition on the Century-Long Rise and Fall of the Zhu Family.Jianshui · 46.1km from Kaiyuan

The round trip takes about two hours. The scenery along the way isn't particularly spectacular, but there's an audio guide, small red flags were given out during the National Day holiday, along with water, and everyone was led in singing patriotic songs. It's a great opportunity for children to receive patriotic education. There are also games at the final stop, and my child won a creative nail clipper.

It's a worthwhile place to visit; the walk through it was quite impressive. The dry cave section showcased a collection of traditional beliefs. The rock climbing and bird's nest harvesting techniques in the Swallow Cave were truly nerve-wracking. The cave is deep, with constantly changing scenery, but the final climb up the steps is not recommended for elderly people with mobility issues. There's a small restaurant outside the scenic area worth trying.

Bisezhai is definitely worth a visit. Movies like *Youth* and *Forever Young* were filmed here. The scenic area isn't large and isn't tiring to explore, but I still recommend taking the sightseeing bus round trip.

Address: 100 meters west of Fenghuang Road, Kaiyuan City, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Opening Hours: Open all day, free of charge! A spontaneous trip is possible anytime. Transportation: Take bus route 6 from the city center. If driving, there is an open-air parking lot at the park entrance, very convenient. 🌟Core Attractions - Fenghuang Tower (Clock Tower): This is a landmark building in Kaiyuan! The architectural style is European, with 14 floors and a total height of 84.15 meters. When the lights are on at night, it is dazzling, like a golden phoenix perched here. The first to third floors house the Kaiyuan Memory Living Room Exhibition Hall, showcasing the past and present of Kaiyuan through three chapters: "Kaiyuan Memory," "Glorious Kaiyuan," and "Red Memory." It's well worth a visit.

The Shadian Grand Mosque, originally built during the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty (1488-1505), has been destroyed and rebuilt several times throughout history. The current scale is primarily from the 2005 expansion, which cost 130-150 million yuan, entirely funded by local Muslims. Covering an area of 21,000 square meters, it can accommodate tens of thousands of worshippers simultaneously, making it the third largest mosque in China, the largest in Southwest China, and one of the country's 100 most famous mosques. This mosque is a Chinese palace-style building, symmetrical along a central axis, consisting of a main hall, minarets, and a lecture hall. The main hall's roof features three semi-circular domes, and the interior is decorated with arches, beams, pillars, and Persian patterns, blending Islamic style with traditional Chinese elements. Ancient stone tablets within the mosque record its construction history and the land owned by the mosque. Opening Hours: Open all day, but only worshippers are allowed to enter the main hall.

Taking a ride on the meter-gauge railway in Jianshui Ancient City is a wonderful and worthwhile experience. I booked my ticket online a day in advance and boarded at Lin'an Station at 9:00 AM. The train clattered along the tracks slowly, with a gentle breeze on my face – a truly delightful moment!

The 160 yuan package is very expensive. A family of 4 spent nearly 700 yuan and was forced to take photos, 29 per photo. The slide is very short and can be combined with rafting.

It is a good place to spend leisure time. The small and exquisite pavilions with mountains and rivers are all integrated into the park. It is a good place to bring snacks and invite three or five friends to have a cup of tea, or play chess and chat.

A representative of classical Chinese gardens in Southwest China, this garden features intricately carved beams and painted rafters, wood and stone carvings depicting historical stories, and a uniquely designed layout. Flowers, trees, pavilions, and towers are seamlessly integrated, while artificial hills, water features, and winding paths lead to secluded spots. The combination of artistic architecture and practical home furnishings makes it a highly recommended experience!

The southern grasslands, the southern grasslands of Kaiyuan people have become private property. They stop cars on the road and charge 20 yuan per person, and even make the arrogant claim that this is their private territory.
