Tsitsikamma National Park is a component of the Garden Route National Park, extending along the south coast of South Africa, with a marine protected area covering dozens of km of pristine coastline. The landscape here is diverse—primeval forests spread along river valleys, cliffs plunge directly into the sea, mountain fynbos and coastal wilderness grow intertwined, and rivers rush from the inland into the sea, carving out deep canyon views. Storms River Mouth is the core area of the park. A suspension bridge spans the mouth, and walking on it offers a view of the magnificent convergence of river water and ocean waves. On the other side of the bridge, a short, steep trail leads to a viewing platform, where you can take in the panoramic view of the entire mouth.
