The Baochan Mountain Scenic Area is located in the Huayang administrative village, Huanfeng Town, Hanshan County, Chaohu City. In the Zhenguan years during the Tang dynasty, the eminent monk Huibao roamed here. He was very fond of the scenery, so he settled down here, thus the name of the mountain. Wang Anshi, a famous writer in the Northern Song dynasty, also visited the mountain and wrote a well-known, wide-spread article—the Record of Visting Baochan Mountain. The Huayang Cave is the main landscape of Baochan Mountain, with abundant natural landscapes, stalactites, and underground waterways. The mountain is cool and a good place to visit in the summer.Hanshan · 4.6km from downtown

The Lingjiatan site, located in Tongzha Town, Hanshan County, Anhui Province, is a central settlement site from the Late Neolithic period dating back 5,800-5,200 years, covering a total area of 2.2 million square meters. Discovered in 1985, the site has undergone 16 excavations since 1987, covering nearly 10,000 square meters and unearthing over 3,000 artifacts, including over 1,200 precious jade artifacts such as jade turtles, jade tablets, jade figurines, and jade spoons. In 1998, it was named one of China's top ten archaeological discoveries, and in 2021, it was selected as one of China's "Top 100 Archaeological Discoveries of the Century." The site has been incorporated into the construction and protection plan for the Yangtze River National Cultural Park. The reverse of the Beijing Winter Olympics medals features the image of a heavy-ringed jade bi unearthed from Lingjiatan. The Lingjiatan culture, along with the Hongshan culture and the Liangzhu culture, is considered one of the "three major jade cultural centers of prehistoric China." Researchers from the "China Civilization Origins Project" believe that Lingjiatan holds a landmark position in the origin and formation of Chinese civilization, providing a tangible example for the study of over 5,000 years of Chinese civilization. According to the latest progress of the China Civilization Origins Project released on December 9, 2023, the Lingjiatan site is listed as one of the representatives of the first phase of ancient civilization (5800-5200 years ago). In 2013, the Lingjiatan site was approved as a National Archaeological Site Park project unit, officially designated as the fourth batch of National Archaeological Site Parks in 2022, and awarded 4A scenic spot status in 2024. With a planned area of 3.35 square kilometers and a total planned investment of over 2 billion yuan, the site is divided into six functional areas: the entrance functional area, the site museum area, the tomb display area, the archaeological reserve area, and the historical experience and ecological leisure area.Hanshan · 30.8km from downtown

Jilong Mountain, formerly known as Tingshan Mountain, also known as Fengtai Mountain. It is located in the mountains 25 kilometers northwest of the county seat. 240 meters above sea level. "Taiping Huanyu Ji" records: "When Ma Lake first collapsed, an old mother lifted a chicken cage and climbed the mountain. Because it turned into stone, today the mountain is shaped like a chicken cage, because of its name." Lotus, for "a state of victory". On the mountain, there are scenic spots such as "Sanqing Hall", "Nantian Gate", "One Line of Heaven", "Karl Cave" and "Hundred Years of Que". According to legend, at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, three eminent monks, Jinfo, Jingan and Jinkun, realized and became Buddhas here. Later generations named it "Sanqing Hall". As the Patriarch of Sanmao, the statue is placed in the hall, and there are eighteen arhats on both sides of the hall. There is a big bell hanging inside, weighing thousands of pounds; on one side of the big drum, the diameter of the drum surface is nearly 2 meters. On the day of syzygy, people from all over the country go to Chaoshan Mountain to worship Buddha, and there is an endless stream, so it is called "Jiangbei Xiaojiuhua". There are many poets in the past dynasties have left inscriptions. Among them: Li Bai's poem "Liyang Zhuangshiqin Generals Famous Realms Qige" said: "Liyang County of the ancient times, turned into Hongchuan. Jiangshan is melancholy, dragons and tigers are secret brilliance. Stored for thousands of years, what is the situation. The diligent general is a hundred times more powerful." Tang Xuhun's poem titled "Respecting the Teacher Liyang Mountain Residence" said: "Twenty soldiers are in Yulin, and middle-aged subconsciousness is in the heart of the ovary. The water in the township Chu is deep. The wine bottle in Chundi floats the medicinal gas, and the chess game brings the shade of pine in the evening. When I go to Jilong Mountain in many places, my own Jin Huangjing cannot be found.” Zhu Yuanzhang's poem “Climbing Jilong Mountain” said: “Stop hunting and sit on Xishan Mountain. The flag, one mountain goes out of ten thousand mountains. Cui Wei's boulder is like a pillar, supporting the old days to know himself.” At the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, there were many temples up and down the mountain. After the war, many original buildings were destroyed. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, there are still 37 temples, with more than 100 Buddha statues and dozens of monks. During the "Cultural Revolution", temples and Buddha statues were destroyed. After 1978, the county people's government allocated funds for reconstruction, and the road from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain was re-paved with stone strips and steel pipe railings. Fenglin Temple has also been renovated and has seven Buddha statues inside. There is a stele inscription "Fenglin Temple Monastery", which receives many pilgrims and tourists every year.He County · 12.6km from Hanshan

West Lake

West Lake is undoubtedly the epitome of Hangzhou's beauty. The famous "Ten scenes of West Lake" surround its shores, where nature and culture complement each other, forming the core area of Hangzhou tourism. You don't need to visit every attraction - instead, spend half a day or a full day strolling along the lake. However you choose to enjoy it, the experience will surely lift your spirits. West Lake is the core attraction of Hangzhou, surrounded by clouds and mountains on three sides and the city on one side. The Su Causeway and Bai Causeway stretch across the lake, dividing it into several water areas. The lakeside scenery is highlighted by the "Ten Scenes of West Lake" from the Southern Song Dynasty, along with the later "New Ten Scenes" and "Three Additional Scenes," featuring over a hundred attractions along the shore and mountains. Pavilions, temples, pagodas, gardens, causeways, and islands complement the distant mountains and nearby waters, while legends like the Broken Bridge where Lady White Snake met Xu Xian add a layer of storytelling to the landscape. West Lake extends east from Songmuchang in Hangzhou and the north of Baolu Road turning to Shaoniangong Square, passing Baisha Road, Huancheng West Road, Hubin Road, and Nanshan Road to the south of Wansong Ridge, covering all attractions including Wu Mountain, Ziyang Mountain, and Yunju Mountain. To the south, it stretches from Gulou along the eastern foothills of Wu Mountain, Ziyang Mountain, and Yunju Mountain, passing Fengshanmen and Fenghuangshan Road, then following the West Lake water diversion channel to the north bank of the Qiantang River, turning to the Coral Sand Reservoir and ending north of Liufangling. To the west, it runs from Liufangling, Zhugan Mountain, Jiuqu Ridge, and Mingren Ridge to Meiren Peak, Beigaofeng, Lingfeng Mountain, and east of the ridge line of Laohe Mountain. To the north, it follows the foothills of Laohe Mountain (west wall of Zhejiang University), turns 30 m north of Qingzhiwu Road, connects to Yugu Road, Zhejiang University Road, and Shuguang Road, ending south of Songmuchang. West Lake has over 100 attractions, renowned for its "Ten scenes of West Lake", "New ten scenes of West Lake" and "Three reviews · Ten scenes of West Lake". West Lake overview You can explore West Lake on foot, by cruise, on electric bikes, via self-drive, or by riding. Among these, electric bikes are the most convenient and effortless option, with hop-on-hop-off sightseeing vehicles circling the entire lake. Riding along the lakeshore is romantic and leisurely, with many public bike rental spots available. For a boat tour, there are nearly 10 docks around the lake offering various vessels and routes. We highly recommend taking a cruise to Three Pools Mirroring the Moon at the lake center while enjoying the scenic views. Alternatively, you can hail a hand-rowed boat for a more flexible experience with a boatman guiding your tour. North line scenery The north shore of West Lake gathers quite a few attractions, usually starting from the remnant snow on broken bridge at the northeast corner and heading west all the way to Yuewang Temple. You can walk along Bai Causeway to Solitary Hill, visiting cultural attractions like Xiling Seal Engravers' Society, Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Chinese Seal Art Museum, and Zhongshan Park's Crane Pavilion. Enjoy authentic West Lake vinegar fish at Louwailou Restaurant, then cross Xiling Bridge to leave the island - Yuewang Temple and Breeze-ruffled lotus at Quyuan Garden are just a short distance away. If it's a summer day with strong sunlight, it is recommended to stroll along Beishan road, hiding under the dense shade of trees to admire the curve of Broken bridge and the swaying weeping willows on Bai causeway opposite. There are many entrances along the way leading to Precious stone hill, where you can hike for views, and descend to reach Yuewang temple. Yuewang square has many small shops for snacks, and the Impression West Lake show here in the evening is also worth watching. If you have ample time and energy, you can also head to Su causeway from here for a walk to enjoy the panoramic view of West Lake. Southeast coast (Lakeside-Nanshan Road) Another area with a concentration of attractions is the Hubin Road-Nanshan Road along the southeastern coast. Hubin Road is located at the junction between Hangzhou's urban area and the attraction, offering views of West Lake, a dock for West Lake cruises, and the iconic music fountain. The advantage of Hubin Road is its quick access from the attraction to the downtown business district, making it suitable for travelers with a tight itinerary to make a short stop. Head south from Hubin road and walk along Nanshan road, where you can visit attractions like Orioles singing in the willows, Long bridge, Leifeng pagoda, Evening bell at Nanping hill, and Viewing fish at flower harbor. The distance between adjacent attractions is not far, so you can walk or take a sightseeing bus or public transport, which are also convenient. You can arrange a day to visit a few of them according to your preference. Among them, Leifeng pagoda and Evening bell at Nanping hill can be visited in the evening. Listening to the bell at Jingci temple and overlooking the night view of West lake from Leifeng pagoda are both great experiences.China · Hangzhou

The Chinese textbook "A Record of a Journey to Mount Baozen" is a memory from my school days. This time I brought my children here to take a look and experience the fun of Huayang Cave firsthand. We then went to the Wu Zixu Ancient Trail and gained a lot of knowledge.

This is my second time here. There are many hot spring pools, making it suitable for family trips. There is a rest area and light meals on the second floor. It starts at 10 am on weekends and holidays, and at 2 pm on weekdays. Soaking during the day is good for taking photos, while you can enjoy a private space at night. The hot spring water has various therapeutic effects on the body, and it feels very comfortable to take a bath after soaking. It's a great holiday experience.

Walking in the ancient town, I feel that the surrounding buildings are very simple and have an antique feeling~~Here, you can also see pawnshops and ancestral halls with very contemporary characteristics. It feels like traveling through time and being in the same time and space as the people in the past! ! ! It feels like walking here, the pace of life has slowed down, and the impetuous heart has calmed down. It feels that this place must have been very prosperous in the past, and there must be thousands of lights at night. Now everything has returned to normal, and I feel a little sad about the passage of time! !

The room is exactly the same as the real thing, and the view is superb. It is very convenient for travel. There is a subway station downstairs. The quality of the community is also quite high. The night view at night is very domineering. Let me talk about the butler's service. It is really first-class. The reply to messages is very fast. He also helped us book tickets for a one-day tour in Wulong. The price is really very favorable. He was very considerate and recommended many delicious foods and check-in spots, which saved us a lot of worry. We just followed the butler's recommendations and had peace of mind. This five-star praise must be given.

The ancestors of Lingjiatan demonstrated extraordinary artistic talent in jade making and carving. The jade dragon is the earliest jade dragon with horns and scales discovered to date. The jade eagle, jade human figure and other jade figures are vividly shaped and exquisitely crafted, reflecting the ancestors' simple perception of beauty and their highly imaginative creative spirit.

The basic facilities are relatively insufficient. There is a small temple that can be used as a place to rest. The scenery is very good when you climb up and look into the distance.

My second visit to West Lake was great; the boat tour was excellent. The dock was easy to find, the staff were very friendly, provided clear explanations, and helped with any issues. There were also sightseeing buses, which were nice but a bit pricey. Taking the boat tour and then walking around was both perfectly fine.
