The Tenement House (National Trust for Scotland) is a well-preserved late 19th-century middle-class apartment, now open as a historic house museum, showcasing the living environment and daily life of ordinary residents in early 20th-century Glasgow. The entire residence retains its four main rooms, and the interior furnishings have been meticulously preserved, showcasing the spatial layout and lifestyle features of urban apartments from that era. Glasgow Cathedral

Glasgow Cathedral

4.9
4.7/5
95 reviews
The construction of the Glasgow Cathedral was completed after more than 300 years. After that, it escaped the ravages of the religious revolution several times and has been preserved to this day. The churches that can be seen now are damaged to varying degrees everywhere, and the severely damaged West Tower is even more beautiful. You can clearly see the ruins of the year. The church is divided into two parts by a stone altar screen. Seven pairs of stone statues are scattered around the screen, symbolizing the "seven deadly sins" in the Catholic doctrine, which is quite interesting. According to legend, at the end of the 6th century, St. Mungo, the patron saint of Glasgow, established and named Glasgow here, and also made Glasgow Cathedral a historical witness of the city. The structure of the church is thin and towering, and the overall color is extremely dignified. In addition, it is located in the surrounding quiet green space and tombstones, which adds a sense of solemnity, as if it is telling the history of Glasgow with its own scars. The St.Mungo Museum on the side of the church is built to commemorate St.Mungo, the patron saint of Glasgow. As a Catholic saint, Mungo is said to have shown four miracles to the world: birds that can't fly, can't grow Tall trees, bells that don't ring, fish that don't swim, all mysteries will be solved in this museum. In addition to the Catholic life and art collections, the collection displays Hindu statues of Shiva, Zen Buddhism and courtyards that are worth viewing.Glasgow · 1.1km from downtown

It opened in 1899 as Ibrox Park. After several renovations, it has been used as a football stadium since 1997, and many significant events in Scottish sports history have been held here. In addition, the stadium is also used as a venue for concerts and celebrations. The stadium has convenient transportation and is only about 2 km from Glasgow's main train stations, such asQueen Street. Public transportation is also very convenient. If you happen to be there during a match or a performance, why not come and experience the lively atmosphere? If you are a fan, it is not to be missed.Glasgow · 3.8km from downtown

Edinburgh Castle

4.7/5
2.9k reviews
Edinburgh Castle stands majestically on the volcanic cliffs above the Royal Mile, guarding Scotland for centuries—it once served as a royal residence, military fortress, and prison. Today, you can stand at the exact spot where the One O'Clock Gun fires, stroll through St. Margaret's Chapel, and explore the National War Museum on the west side, which showcases centuries of Scottish military history through uniforms, medals, and weapons, alongside the Crown Jewels displayed beside the Stone of Destiny. The castle esplanade echoes with the sound of bagpipes, the Crown's history predates the Act of Union, and the breathtaking views of the Firth of Forth stretch out before you. This historic British landmark still commands awe from people across the island.Edinburgh · 66.2km from Glasgow

The People's Palace is a Victorian building with a red sandstone exterior. It was a social history museum at the end of the 15th century AD. The exhibits in it are all closely related to Glasgow. There is "Red Clydeside" by the socialist John Mclean (1879-1923 AD), which once caused Lenin's attention; and "Banana Boots" by Billy Connolly, a native of British comedy. The winter garden at the rear of the building is a great place for a picnic.Glasgow · 1.7km from downtown

We came here on a spontaneous visit one Sunday afternoon in January and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our wee boy loved seeing the “old fashioned house” and was so well looked after by all the staff, from the cash register to the flat and back out again. We went round twice (with a shift change between visits!) and the insight into one story of no doubt thousands like it in Glasgow was fantastic. Plus our boy thoroughly enjoyed colouring in his wallie dug. A hidden gem that is well worth the wander through Garnethill.

This is simply a dream castle. When I arrived, it was the April holiday, and there were almost no people on the road. Only the ancient buildings stood in the cold air, solemn and heavy, which made people feel awe. [Scenery]

Glasgow Cathedral is one of Scotland’s most remarkable historic landmarks and a masterpiece of medieval architecture. The cathedral’s impressive Gothic design, stunning stained-glass windows, and peaceful atmosphere make it a fascinating place to explore. Walking through its ancient halls offers a glimpse into centuries of Scottish history and religious heritage. I was particularly impressed by the intricate stonework and the beautiful crypt beneath the cathedral. Located near the city center, it provides a quiet contrast to Glasgow’s vibrant urban life. Whether you are interested in history, architecture, or culture, Glasgow Cathedral is a must-visit attraction in Scotland.

The food in the museum is not cheap. The Riverside Museum is a building near a church. The shape of the whole museum is very special.

Absolutely fabulous attraction in the heart of Glasgow's West End. The surrounding grounds are lushly verdant, a lovely wee coffee stall. Benches around the to soak of the fresh air & admire the beautiful gardens. A must see is Kibble Palace in the grounds with more tropical plants & fish and stunning sculptures under a beautiful glass roof.

The magnificent castle embodies the history, culture, and glory of Scotland. The visitor pathways and signage were well-organized, and there was even an audio guide in Mandarin, which allowed tourists like us who don't speak English to gain a deeper understanding of the castle. The staff at the visitor center were warm and attentive, and the police officers in the square outside the castle were friendly and responsible, helping me find my lost wife.

The large fountain in front of the People's Palace is comparable to the fountain in Edinburgh. The architectural style itself is quite distinctive and is now also used as a museum.

The night view of the City Hall and the square in front of it. The whole building looks crystal clear under the light, reflecting the lights of the square. The street in front of the door is also shining.
