Reviews/Trip Moments

Reviews: Weishan Lake Wetlands Red Lotus Scenic Area

The itinerary was reasonably designed and indeed quite suitable for family travel. However, since Yangyang Airport is quite far from Seoul, going in and out of Yangyang Airport would inevitably require round-trip transportation, which would be time-consuming and tiring. It would be better if one leg of the trip were to arrive or depart from Seoul.

Because our group only consisted of 13 adults and 1 child, the company temporarily switched to an Iveco van, without consulting us beforehand, which needs improvement. However, the van was convenient and faster. The itinerary was generally well-planned: Day 1: Yangzhou Eight Eccentrics, Lu's Salt Merchant Residence, Dongguan Street; Day 2: Zhenjiang Jinshan Temple and Nanjing Grand View Garden + Xuanwu Lake + Confucius Temple; Finally, Tianzhong Mountain Mausoleum. The only downside was the Wuxi Leather City – it was a bit over the top. The time allotted for Dongguan Street was too short. The festive atmosphere was strong, but an hour and a half wasn't enough to explore the entire street. The tour guide originally scheduled the Confucius Temple visit for 4 PM to 6 PM, but at our request, we checked into the hotel first, and then had free time at 6 PM to fully enjoy the Qinhuai River night view and Nanjing's cuisine. The overall itinerary time was quite ample, but it felt like there was enough time to see everything, including *** and Xuanwu Lake, in a day and a half. Regarding the hotels, the first one had a large room, but the bathroom was rather basic, and the air conditioning was insufficient, making it too cold to sleep at night. The second one was even worse—the room was small, the facilities were basic, and there wasn't even hot water for washing up the next morning. Finally, regarding the food, the itinerary didn't include meals, but we still ate two group meals. The first meal in Yangzhou was very poor, and the second was at the Jinshan Hotel opposite Jinshan Temple. Online reviews weren't high, but the food was still quite satisfactory, and at 30 yuan per person, it was acceptable. However, visiting so many attractions in three days was still very good, and the overall experience was excellent.
