We really want to highlight the stunning views – the mountain is absolutely breathtaking, with fascinating geology all around. We were also very lucky with the weather. The tour finished earlier than expected, around 3:00 PM. In June, it wasn't actually cold on the mountain; we even took off our jackets, though the temperature was about 9.6°C. Still, we'd recommend renting oxygen canisters for an extra 20 yuan – it's better to have them just in case. Locals also suggest taking hemoglobin supplements before the ascent. Our driver contacted us in advance, picked us up a little later than planned, and came directly from the old town of Shuhe near our hotel.

One of the most enjoyable trips I've taken was to the Stone Forest, a historical site with breathtaking views among the rocks. The cave itself held surprises, such as a cable car, a boat ride on the river, waterfall views, and the opportunity to explore the cave's interior. The tour leader was incredibly helpful and patient despite our lack of language skills, explaining everything clearly. She also assisted me with non-tour-related matters like phone calls and other things.

Despite a late booking at 11:15 PM, we were contacted immediately to confirm our preferred departure time and receive instructions. The departure process was smooth and efficient. The driver was excellent, driving us quickly and carefully along the sometimes challenging road. The scenery in Balaguezun itself is incredible. I highly recommend climbing to the natural pagoda. It's quite high, at 4,100 meters, but the beauty is incredible! The navigation within the park was excellent, but we needed a map or pictures to visualize where we'd end up next. Food in the park is minimal, so keep this in mind before you go and bring your usual snacks. We had a hard time figuring out the departure point and departure time, but everything went well in the end. We got to Dechen just as quickly as we got there. A big thank you to the organizers for this trip!

This tour was a great experience. It's my second time visiting Shangri-La, and it's definitely worth it. Our driver, Mr. Wang (license plate RM2509), drove very smoothly. He was very helpful in reminding us to be wary of things being sold at tourist attractions and not to buy them, as we were easily ripped off. This was very kind of him; he didn't push any products. Many tour reviews mentioned drivers and guides trying to sell various products or offer horseback riding services, but Mr. Wang was very honest. However, since Tiger Leaping Gorge was closed, we couldn't go, but he refunded our tickets, so we only had 3 hours to explore Dukezong (normally 1.5 hours). He stopped whenever we saw beautiful scenery along the way so we could take photos. The scenery was really nice. Highly recommended! 👍

A huge thank you to our tour guide, Yue, for making this incredibly long excursion so much easier. Since we traveled from Lidiyazn and back, the tour took about 12 hours in total (we left at 8 a.m. and returned at 8 p.m.). Yue was attentive to our needs and wishes, making stops as needed. She's a fantastic guide, and her playlist is wonderful. Thanks to her help, the 12 hours were easier than they could have been. If you're taking the same route as us, be mindful of your strength and abilities, as we were already very tired by the time we reached the white terraces. However, almost the entire route to the terraces runs through a gorge, making the drive incredibly beautiful.
