The excursion was fantastic and very impressive. The only downside was that Claudia was put in a taxi in Chiapas de Corzo and then driven back to Tuxtla at her own risk. I wasn't aware of this beforehand.★

The high-speed boats that power you up and down this canyon are great fun. They're fast and noisy, and you get a bit wet from the bow-wave, but they get you a long way up the canyon and give you a great chance to see the various sights, including the toweriing rocky cliffa above you. You'll see wildlife too - we say egrets, herons, spider monkeys and some (very large) crocodiles. The boats are completely open with no cover so take sprays, hats, water etc - you'll get very hot.
