A truly impressive trip to the Lysefjord… Excellent descriptions along the way, complemented by lovely stories about the sights… The ship sails wonderfully close, allowing everyone ample time for photography or simply enjoying the view… It docks just around the corner from the pier… Highly recommended! Thank you to the shipping company, and keep up the good work!

The mini coach was waiting for us right outside the cruise ship as we disembarked. It took 40 minutes to get to the base of Pulpit Rock. There is a shop and toilets at the base of the walk. It is a steep 4km hike to the top. It was icy and very windy on the day we went so we kept well way from the edge at the top. The views were amazing. It was slippery going down because of the ice. Decent walking boots are definitely required. Three of the group of 13 were quite quick up and down so the guide arranged for the coach to take us back to the cruise ship whilst the others were still on their walk. We were back by 215pm which was great as it gave us time in Stavanger. The others got back at 415pm, so all in good time before the ship's departure time. A really good excursion.

A really fun experience and a quick way to get to the fjord and see it from the water. The guide was great, with excellent explanations, and he played nice background music, setting the mood for every moment.

We had a really great trip. The weather was a bit mixed, with occasional rain, but the suits, goggles, and gloves made it very bearable. Our captain was excellent and gave us additional information.


