Top Experiences & Travel Essentials in Singapore

Singapore is a vibrant city-state at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. Once a British trading post, it has evolved into one of Asia’s most dynamic centers, with cultural diversity, world-class infrastructure, and abundant green spaces. Shaped by its tropical climate, Singapore weather is warm and humid, with passing short bursts of rain seldom lasting long. Though compact, Singapore offers many impressive attractions. Visit the family-friendly Singapore Zoo, feel the thrill at Universal Studios Singapore, and admire the skyline at Marina Bay Sands. Don’t miss Gardens by the Bay, Chinatown, and Little India!

Overall a very simple process once the ferry tickets are purchased online. Just have to go to the counter at the ferry terminal and present your passport to exchange for the ferry boarding tickets.
Reviews: Round Trip Ferry Tickets to Bintan (Tanah Merah Terminal Departure) - Bintan Resort Ferries
Guest User2025-11-18
It's been over 10 years since my last trip to Bintan Island. Back then, when I was younger, I could take any speedboat. This time, with elderly relatives and children, I opted for a better one. There was a designated waiting area for VIPs while boarding, with complimentary drinks. Once on board, it was on the second floor; sitting indoors was a bit shaky and could cause seasickness. On the return trip, we sat on the outdoor terrace. The sea breeze was wonderful. The only downside was the possibility of adding more options for boat times.
Reviews: Singapore - Johor Bahru, Malaysia bus| You can choose to depart from Singapore Changi Airport/ Resorts World Sentosa/The Star Vista

We took the bus from Changi Airport. It was cheaper if we didn't make a reservation. We booked in case there were no seats available, but if we hadn't, it would have been 1,500 yen cheaper. The bus departs from the coach bus area on the first basement floor. If you pay with cash, they won't give you change, so it's best to bring the exact amount. It costs 11 Singapore dollars (one way).
Reviews: Singapore Cable Car - Cable Car Round-trip Ticket (Sentosa Line and Mount Faber Line / Mount Faber Line Only)

First time taking the cable car from Sentosa to Mount Faber. Definitely worth the ride, would be ideal if you are riding in the evening so that you can witness the sunset. Will do this again.
Reviews: [Limited-Time Activity for Custom Bracelets] Sentosa Fun Discovery/Wander Pass (Up to 45% Off)

After purchasing a ticket, you will receive a QR code. Attractions that require reservations require a separate reservation. Attractions that do not require reservations can be entered using the QR code provided. When I showed my ticket to the entrance staff one day before my flight, I was told I needed a separate ticket and was denied entry. When I returned to the hotel and asked the staff, they looked into the matter and explained that I didn't need to purchase a separate ticket. Normally, Harry Potter costs 40 tokens. On the day I returned, I was able to enter without any problems. However, the front desk informed me that today was a peak day and the price had changed to 65 tokens. I purchased tickets for 60 and 95, totaling 130 tokens for two people, but they said they couldn't combine them. I paid SGD 5 at the pass counter at a nearby station, changed the 60 ticket to 65, and then went back to the entrance. The entrance staff told me I couldn't enter with my ticket. I was confused, but a front desk staff member came out and finally let me in. It turns out that the entrance staff, both the day before and the day itself, were unaware of this pass system. I was supposed to enter for 40 tokens, but since it was the next day, I ended up using them on a peak day when prices had gone up. I tried to use up the remaining 30 tokens on my 95 token ticket by buying ice cream at the shop, but was told they weren't valid. I ended up leaving without using 30 tokens (worth SG30). Since the pass originally included a discount, I calculated it as essentially the same as the admission price, so I didn't lose anything. However, I spent the whole night researching and paying, and then ended up throwing away 30 tokens. I ended up spending precious time researching the night pool, so I felt like I wasted precious time. Since there's no display of remaining tokens even after using them, you need to keep track of the tokens for each attraction by notepad. It's important to be aware that some local staff may not know how to use the pass, and some restaurants on Sentosa Island don't accept it, so it's a good idea to research thoroughly beforehand.
