The itinerary was well-planned, and our tour guide, Bingbing, was incredibly kind. At the Asahikawa Zoo stop, she personally led us to the penguin parade area, where we found a great viewing spot. Along the way, she also recommended other attractions and local delicacies. The weather was fantastic today, and we visited all the attractions, plus the tour guide gave us 5 to 10 minutes more time than usual. We enjoyed local cuisine and bought some souvenirs we liked. So happy! 😃

This trip was fantastic. First, our tour guide, Xiaoyu, was incredibly patient, helping every tourist who needed assistance. Throughout the trip, she tirelessly shared many interesting local history and cultural stories, which I, as a tourist, listened to attentively and found very helpful and informative. She also patiently guided us through the meeting points and ensured safety, providing excellent service. Second, the driver's skills were superb. Despite the challenging driving conditions in the icy and snowy conditions, he still managed to get everyone to our destination safely and on time. Thank you both for your hard work; the entire trip was excellent, and I would definitely choose Xiaoyu again next time.

Winter Dreams of the Northern Country: A Guided Tour of Four Famous Scenic Spots – Asahikawa, Biei, and Furano In the depths of Hokkaido's winter, when temperatures plummet below freezing, this land truly reveals its purest and most captivating side. From lively polar animals to tranquil frozen lakes, this route is the ultimate choice for winter travel. I. Asahiyama Zoo: A Waltz of Life in the Snow Asahikawa Zoo, Japan's northernmost zoo, truly shines in winter. It's not just about observing animals, but also a life education about survival and vitality. • The Winter Extravaganza of Penguin Walks: This is the number one reason for winter visitors. To help penguins burn fat during the long winter, the zoo allows them to walk in the snow daily. Watching the King Penguin waddle past, its white belly puffed out, is a uniquely comforting and warm experience, a winter-limited warmth. • The Majesty of the Polar Rulers: Polar bears appear remarkably at ease amidst the thick snow, rolling and playing in the snow with a more vibrant energy than in summer. Furthermore, you can observe seals darting through vertical water pipes via the "Seal Observation Tube," seemingly slithering through the icy sea. II. Biei's Shirogane Blue Pond: A Mysterious Illusion Beneath the Frozen Ice The Blue Pond, renowned for its cobalt blue waters in summer, presents a completely different "still beauty" in winter. • The Minimalist Aesthetics of a Silvery Landscape: After December, the lake gradually freezes over and is covered in snow. Although the flowing water is not visible, the bare larch trees pointing straight to the sky from the silvery snowfield create an extreme sense of solitude, resembling a Zen-like ink painting. • Winter Nighttime Illumination: To compensate for the snow covering the lake, the park illuminates the nights dynamically in winter. Different hues of light shift between the snowfield and the withered trees, simulating shimmering reflections on the water, transforming the Blue Pond into a sci-fi-inspired galactic theater in the night. Shirahige Falls: The Never-Frozen Azure Artery Not far from the Blue Pond lies Shirahige Falls, a breathtaking natural wonder in winter. • The Boundary Between Cold and Heat: Due to the presence of hot springs in its source, the falls continue to flow even at -20 degrees Celsius. The white spray of the falls intertwines with the cobalt blue waters of the Biei River below, creating a striking visual contrast. • Rime and Ice Curtains: Water vapor around the falls condenses at low temperatures, clinging to rocks and branches to form spectacular rime and icicles. Looking down from the Shirogane Bridge, the billowing steam and the deep blue water of the pool seem to transport travelers to an ice palace from Norse mythology. IV. I chose to visit Jigokudani (Hell Valley) as my last stop, then checked directly into Ryūnoya, a hot spring resort in Noboribetsu. I left my large luggage at my hotel in Sapporo and only brought a small suitcase to Noboribetsu, having informed customer service beforehand. They were wonderful; they left our luggage there for free. The tour guide was also very friendly and professional, and the entire itinerary was well-organized. The snowmobile ride at Lake Toya was amazing, the pie at Lake Hill was delicious, the lake view from the observation deck was beautiful, and the bear ranch was definitely worth seeing. Jigokudani was spectacular. Finally, the tour guide noticed that the bus from my hotel passed by and let us park there for free, so we didn't have to drag our luggage through Jigokudani. Thank you so much to the tour guide and driver! Overall, this tour was very worthwhile. The tour guide informed us of the pick-up location the night before, and the customer service was excellent and responded quickly. It was a very clear and helpful tour, highly recommended. Tour guide Xiaoyu was fantastic!

I joined the tour on November 15th. The bus was almost full, with people from many different countries in the group, but it was always our compatriots who were late. Sigh. Our tour guide, Vivi, was very good. She had to speak the exact same thing in three languages, which must have been quite tiring. The stops at each attraction were short. It was pretty much a quick visit, but there was no other way, as it was too far and time was tight. The weather was so-so this time, mostly overcast, but during a brief break in the sunshine, I saw half of Mount Yotei and immediately took a picture.

We were staying in in Asahikawa and our tour guide Rii was wonderful in facilitating us being able to join and leave the tour . She was very helpful throughout the trip and was definitely one of the highlights in our booking.
