A must-have for traveling in Hokkaido, this pass can only be exchanged in Hokkaido. I exchanged mine at Hakodate Station. Like other passes, you exchange your pass at the counter first, then reserve your seat. The entire Hokkaido itinerary is basically free of extra charges. Unfortunately, Hokkaido only has limited express trains, which are noisy and bumpy, and frequently delayed. Chinese travelers might find this unusual at first.★

The room was a bit small, but the hotel service was excellent. The staff spoke basic Chinese and English. There was Wi-Fi in the lobby, but you had to register at the front desk. The breakfast was average. There was a shopping mall downstairs, and the Higashi-Ikebukuro subway station was nearby. Ikebukuro Station was a 10-minute walk from the hotel, so getting to Higashi-Ikebukuro was relatively easy—just a 3-minute walk. There were also shopping malls and supermarkets in Ikebukuro, making shopping convenient. FamilyMart and drugstores were everywhere. The food options were a bit limited, though, including barbecue, hot pot, and seafood. Overall, Tokyo wasn't crowded or crowded, and the subway was very convenient. Prices were on the high side, but with the appreciation of the RMB, they were manageable. I bought an iPhone 5 in Akihabara, but the SIM card adapter doesn't work yet because the version is too high. I'll have to re-install it later. My visa was processed through Ctrip and took two weeks to arrive; visas are usually for 15 days. Tokyo Skytree is taller than the Oriental Pearl Tower, but I found the Oriental Pearl Tower more interesting.
