The tour is very comprehensive and you visit everything on the list. The places are very interesting and highly recommended. Because there's so much to see, it's quite intense and the time allotted to each place is limited, but sufficient to visit them without getting bogged down. The only problem is that the description said there would be an English-speaking guide, but we only had a driver. He was a great driver, but we had to visit each place on our own without any explanation.★

The original day tour was canceled and we were offered to change to a similar tour that has Jiufen, Shifen, and Yehliu as an addition. We were ok with the change. At the meeting place beginning of the tour, it was a little bit confusing since many tours meet at the same place/time. Make sure to know your tour guide's name. Our tour guide is Jerry Liao. He is friendly, professional. He gives good descriptions of the places we visited, recommendations on what to do, and very detail instructions on when/where to meet after free-time. Jerry speaks in both Chinese and English so everybody can follow along. I enjoyed the tour even though it seemed a bit rush since we covered 3 places in about 8 hours.★

They took me on a long drive from Shifen to Jiufen, and it would have cost more if I had taken a taxi, and the bus would have been crowded and difficult, so this price was a great deal! Mr. Oh, who was in charge of the trip, was also easy to talk to and it was a fun experience. Thank you very much.★

Pros: Convenient transportation. The taxi driver and I traveled with ease. I'm sensitive to heat, so even though I went in late November, it was 21 degrees Celsius and I was sweating. However, the car's air conditioning kept the ride cool. I had a good conversation with the driver, so staying in some areas for too long wasn't particularly meaningful, and he was always proactive in coordinating with the times to visit crowded areas. Except for the areas with paid admission, he took excellent photos for eight hours straight. He spoke Korean fluently, so there were no major inconveniences during the trip. He explained key points well and made small talk enjoyable. The overall atmosphere was pleasant, and since I was traveling with my parents, they were very satisfied with the private experience. I was also satisfied. Cons: The miner's lunchbox was delicious, but the museum wasn't that great. The 8-hour time limit meant half the travel time and half the sightseeing time, which was a solid four hours, which I knew was a bit disappointing. Overall: It's perfect for a private getaway with family, a significant other, or someone with a significant other. It's recommended to plan your itinerary in advance.
