The Agafay Desert is a breathtaking escape with its vast rocky landscapes and peaceful atmosphere near Marrakech. The experience became even more special thanks to the guide Aya, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the trip. Aya explained the culture, history, and desert lifestyle with great passion, making everything feel authentic and engaging. From camel rides to watching the sunset, every moment was well organized and enjoyable. The desert camp offered delicious food, warm hospitality, and a magical evening under the stars. Agafay may be quiet and minimal, but with a guide like Aya, it becomes truly unforgettable.

I recommend this tour for those who are only in Marrakech for a few days, as it allows you to experience two different experiences in one day: a camel ride and a hike through the valleys of the Atlas Mountains. On this tour, we passed through nature, saw Berber communities, found vendors selling local products, visited a waterfall, and had the opportunity to eat Tagine – a typical Moroccan dish. On the plus side: they pick up and drop off at the hotel where we were staying. The only downside I have to point out was the lack of communication. When we booked, we were told it would start at 9:00 AM. On the day of, we received a message informing us of the hotel pickup time (8:20 AM), only 20 minutes in advance, which caused us to be late and the driver to be unhappy. But overall, it was a good experience, and I recommend it.


