First and foremost, I recommend that non-Chinese tourists install WeChat to facilitate communication with the organizers and the driver. My excursion went perfectly. I was the only foreigner in the car, but we managed using a translator. The tour included a visit to the canyon in the morning (3 hours), a lunch break in downtown Zhangye, and then Danxia National Park in the afternoon (4 hours). The tour duration was sufficient to fully enjoy the sites. My only slight complaint was that I didn't have an English-speaking guide, not even a virtual one, but this didn't bother me since I prefer to explore independently.★

Everything went smoothly, even though there was no service in English as was advertised. Driver did great job with translator tools and pointing me to right direction. If you are short on time I would recommend.Trip.com picks
