Reviews: Kota Kinabalu Kawa-Kawa River Cruise Proboscis Monkey & Fireflies with Hi-Tea & Dinner Shared Day Tour

I really enjoyed the trip. The tour was well organized. A wonderful guide, Adior, and his companion, the driver. The minibus was comfortable. The group was small. There were no unnecessary expectations anywhere. We were fed well twice. We photographed various monkeys, including proboscis monkeys and macaques. We also photographed a kingfisher. We saw plenty of fireflies. The sunset was beautiful. Highly recommended. Especially for those who are on a light plane and don't want to wander around on foot. Here they drive you, feed you, and drive you again. Everything is stress-free. The price is excellent. Respect and gratitude to the organizers. Book the tour through Trip.com. It's significantly cheaper than at the hotel. Communication with the organizers is excellent, via WhatsApp.
Reviews: 1-Day Tour to Sapi Island Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia + Manukan Island [Snorkeling/Water Tours + Seafood BBQ Lunch]

Punctual pick-up and drop-off, small tour group, easy-to-manage guide. Sapi Island has clear water, white sand, and plenty of fish, a great place for snorkeling. Manukan Island also has clear water, but not many fish. Guide Zhihong is good. Worth the trip.

This five-day, four-night adventure in Kota Kinabalu combined the romance of the sea with the thrill of the mountains, every moment filled with surprises. This perfect experience was all thanks to the meticulous planning of our butler, Fatty Star. Arriving in Kota Kinabalu from Shanghai at dawn, the driver was already waiting at the airport exit, smoothly taking me to the hotel so I could catch up on sleep and recharge without having to drag my luggage. The sunset paddleboarding on the second day was incredibly romantic. Lying on the board, gently swaying with the waves, watching the orange-red sunset paint the sea into a shimmering gold, the sea breeze carrying the scent of coconut all melted away the fatigue of the journey. The trip to Mantanani Island combined with the Kawa Mangrove Forest was full of surprises. I upgraded to an introductory scuba diving experience in advance, and Fatty Star thoughtfully prepared detailed preparations and safety instructions. The dive guide was professional and patient, leading me to explore the colorful underwater world. After nightfall, the fireflies dancing in the sky were like stars falling into the forest, a breathtakingly magical sight. The last-minute addition of the Mount Kinabalu paragliding activity was quickly arranged by him, with thoughtful reminders about attire and precautions. The feeling of soaring freely over the majestic Mount Kinabalu and the winding coastline from the air was unforgettable. The three segments of the return trip were seamlessly connected, with helpful itinerary reminders throughout. Any needs were handled properly, and even highly-rated local seafood restaurants were accurately recommended. This trip was completely stress-free, enjoyable, and unforgettable. I sincerely recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Kota Kinabalu.
Reviews: 1-day tour to Sabah royal bay sky mirror mangrove | proboscis monkeys and fireflies/private small group optional

This mangrove tour exceeded my expectations; our guides, Jay and Xiaoqi, were absolutely fantastic! From the very beginning, they were incredibly attentive, helping us spot wildlife and reminding us to protect ourselves from mosquitoes and sun. Once inside the mangroves, they patiently explained the various plants and animals, answering all our strange questions without ever getting annoyed. Whether we were wading in the mudflats or getting on and off the boat, they were always mindful of everyone's safety. What touched us most was their warmth—they were all smiles, chatting like old friends, and even took many beautiful photos for us. What was supposed to be an ordinary day trip became a truly unforgettable experience because of them. I wholeheartedly recommend Jay and Xiaoqi; the mangroves are even more worthwhile because of you! I'll definitely book you again next time! 🌿🚣
Reviews: Sabah Mount Kinabalu Dairy Farm Day Trip + ATV/Paragliding optional + Rafflesia roasted wild boar (optional, at your own expense)

The itinerary wasn't strictly according to a schedule, but it was quite reasonable. The time was also very tight. The tour guide was very experienced. The ATV ride wasn't suitable for someone like me with little strength; I couldn't control it, but thankfully the driver helped me, so I experienced it from the back seat. I saw three Rafflesia flowers, but the price has gone up; the entrance fee is 30 Malaysian Ringgit (it used to be 20). You absolutely must try the black pork; it's so delicious, with a charcoal-grilled flavor! Great value for money!

To be honest, the daytime journey felt completely unnecessary. My friend and I both suffer from motion sickness, and we spent nearly four hours on a bus to reach the mangrove forest. By then, I was nauseous, but thankfully the weather wasn't too sunny. The evening was the highlight of the trip. Fireflies and a sky full of stars reminded me of my childhood in the countryside. It was truly beautiful; I wish there were separate evening tours. The staff were all very nice.
