Huangmanzhai Waterfall is beautiful and definitely worth it! Driver Zhao drove very smoothly and was a very nice person. We were visiting Shantou from out of town and then hired a car to Jiexi to see the waterfall. Driver Zhao introduced us to fun places in Shantou and recommended many delicious little shops. Finally, we realized we had left something in the car 15 minutes after the trip ended, and Driver Zhao even went out of his way to get it back to our hotel for us. 👍👍👍

It was a fantastic visit! There were almost no tourists inside Huanglong Temple. Our driver, Mr. Zheng, doubled as our guide, accompanying us throughout the tour and explaining the temple's architectural features and cultural significance. Later, at the waterfall area, they thoughtfully provided bottled water and snacks. We went in around noon, avoiding the peak crowds, allowing us to queue in front of all the waterfalls. We even saw a rainbow at Feihong Waterfall! The mountain path wasn't steep, and the entire trip up and down took about two hours. On the return trip, they even took us to the newly built Chaozhou People's Park. Much of the park wasn't open yet, but it's a great place for Chaozhou locals to take their children.
