This was a 7.5 hour tour in Northern Ireland in the winter time, so it was cold, windy, sometimes wet and occasionally a bit wild. Wrap up warm with plenty of layers if you want to enjoy this tour at this time of year! However, with Stephen our driver and guide we saw the very best of the local scenery in a small group. Being a local he was very knowledgeable and managed to get us to places ahead of the competition allowing us to enjoy each location with fewer crowds. His commentary also steered a careful course between the partisan groups in this troubled island. The highlight obviously is the Giants Causeway, and perhaps the most disappointing thing is the Dark Hedges because the trees are past their best and it will be another hundred years before the replacements are of a similar stature. In between we loved the small fishing village of Carnlough. There is nothing special there, just a small harbour and a 7-11 store but you feel you are seeing the real Northern Ireland. In between a stop at Bushmills Distillery (no time for a tour but time to sample if you wish), and a brief photo stop at Dunluce Castle, plus a scenic coastal drive as the waves crashed against the shore.

Everything was explained well. The guide was very attentive to the visitors. The tasting was the icing on the cake. Old whisky with chocolate is fantastic. I hadn't heard of it, but they do it. Best of all, it wasn't a sales pitch. Just friendly people and a great atmosphere. Even my girlfriend, who never drinks whisky, enjoyed it.

We had such a wonderful experience on this tour—it was truly a highlight of our trip. The scenery and overall atmosphere were beautiful, and everything was well organized. What really made the tour exceptional, though, was our guide, Ash. He was absolutely fantastic—friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. Listening to him share stories felt like listening to an audiobook; he brought everything to life in such an engaging and vivid way. You could tell he genuinely cared and put his whole heart into the storytelling. Thank you, Ash, for making this such a memorable and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!
