We purchased an eSIM, and it was pretty simple and quick. I received a QR code by email. We haven't activated the eSIM yet, as our trip hasn't started yet. I'll update this review after we activate it and test it out.

The eSIM worked perfectly the whole time I was in Vietnam. Straightforward to install - I screen shot the QR code and sent it to my husband by WhatsApp, so I could open it in his phone then use my phone’s camera to install it. Can’t fault it and a reasonable price.
