We really enjoyed the experience of being in that glass aquarium and seeing the whole city at our feet. The view is beautiful and everything is very well organized. It's definitely worth it. If you can do it in the late afternoon, even better, then you can see both day and night.

Well narrated talk on architectural history. It was interesting even for a former Chicagoan. Top deck roof covers only 10% of seats. Seats are cheap plastic and wood benches along the sides. Full bar and toilets downstairs. Park at 401 Michigan Equitable building where Shoreline is located. Go to underground street and enter building at level 1 not 2 for valet parking because of Shoreline discount $18 for 3 hrs otherwise $38 for 2 hrs and cafe w/toilets adjacent to parking.
