Basilique Saint-Sernin de Toulouse is one of the largest existing Romanesque churches in the world and the largest rectangular church in Europe. The church was built between 1080–1120. It was constructed on the foundation of a 4th-century basilica-style church and is named after Saint Sernin, a Christian martyr who was tied to a bull and dragged to his death in 250 AD for refusing to worship idols. Van Gogh Sanatorium is a memorial building. It is quite large and is also one of the most important sanatoriums in the area. The surrounding scenery is very nice and there are many historical buildings. The city is not very big, but it is indeed very warm.

[Toulouse] Among the big cities in France, there are not many beautiful ones, but this is one of them. This place feels very gentle and elegant, and the old city is very large, and the overall area is neither big nor small. It feels very livable, probably because I haven’t been affected by Haussmanization. I don’t like any cities that have been Haussmanized. They are too political, such as Paris, Lyon, and Montpellier.

The cathedral in Toulouse is worth visiting. There are many relics inside! It is very spectacular! I just don't know how to get to the top of the tower! There is also a underground floor in the church that you can visit! There are many small boxes inside! What do you think they are! [Price ratio] Good [View] Very good!

It's a lively, trendy and cultured city. The average age of students is about 30. I just wish I had discovered this city when I was in college, I think I would never have left. There are so many great restaurants and bars if you leave the usual tourist areas but still stay close, like on St-Roch Street. In every bright small and clean alley, you find a new hidden boutique bar or snack spot. I was surprised at how the young people behaved and didn't fight, make noise or crowd certain areas. It's a great example of an old city being taken over by a young and trendy culture. I love it here.
