Seville Cathedral
This is the world's largest Gothic cathedral, where a sculpture of Columbus's coffin, borne by four kings, guards the nave. Ascend the Giralda Tower, and orange blossoms and the ancient city's red tiles intertwine along the Guadalquivir River. The ringing of bells mixes with the echoes of the Arab minaret—it is a sanctuary converted from a mosque into a church, with every stone etched with an epic of conquest and faith.
Royal Alcázar of Seville
Mudejar-style arcades and Renaissance fountains coexist here, and the Peacock Hall, adorned with ceramic tiles, shines with the glory of being a filming location for Dorne in "Game of Thrones." Passing through the Lion Gate of the Alcázar, hidden beneath the shade of orange trees, are the Arab baths that Pedro I built for his lover, where the sound of flowing water still tells the tale of a forbidden love from the 14th century.
Real Maestranza de Caballeria de Sevilla
The ochre-red sandstone exterior walls are stained with 300 years of passion, and beneath the archway, the bronze equestrian statue still wears the bullfighter's medal of honor. Step into the Bullfighting Museum, where gold-embroidered uniforms and specimens of broken-horned bulls transform the brutal ritual into a celebration of life, much like a flamenco dance.
Flamenco Dance Museum
In the theater transformed from an old warehouse, the wooden floor trembles with the stomping of dancers, while Diego Elvira's dancing shoes trace fiery trajectories on the projection screen. The Gypsy's shell bracelets in glass display cases and the improvised ballads from the tape recorder send the melancholic melody falling from Andalusia's starry sky into the audience.
Ayuntamiento (City Hall)
Beneath the Renaissance facade's coat of arms, Columbus once signed his voyage contract here. The Hercules Fountain in the courtyard flows ceaselessly day and night, while the ink on the parchment in the city hall archives still carries the salty tang of sea breeze from the year the New World was discovered.
