I had such a wonderful day with Ismael on this tour. We started with the spice farm where I learned so much about Zanzibar’s spices and got to eat delicious pilau rice. Ismael was very knowledgeable and explained things very well. We then went on a tour of stone town and learned about the history of the East African slave trade and got to see the markets. Finally ended at prison island and got to spend time with the turtles and other animals on the island. I really appreciate Ismael’s explanations of everything, made my experience 10x better. ★

Great walking tour with Alfa. He was able to provide an in depth history of Zanzibar including the political and cultural influences of the island.
Alfa could answer all our questions and made the tour enjoyable for the whole family. His knowledge of the streets of Stone Town is incredible and the walking tour included all the highlights although he was able to adapt the tour as required including a stop on the rooftop of Swahili House.★

We had the afternoon free in Stone Town, and whilst having breakfast searched for things to do, we came across Rakib and his walking tour. I checked the availability, and there was space for a private tour at 3 p.m., so I booked.
I received an instant email back via trip advisor, and a couple of minutes later, an email from Rakib saying hi and we arranged where to meet.
We meet Rakib, and after introductions, Rakib explained where we would be going and if there was anything particular we wanted to see/do.
We started the walking tour, Rabik was extremely knowledgeable and a nice person to hang out with.
Would 100% recommend it, and if this way again, I would definitely contact Rakib for any tours.
