I booked a VIP tour this time, and the itinerary was very packed, with five or six boat trips in total, making it a fairly in-depth tour.
The Mekong River didn't look very clear; the water was quite yellow and covered with water hyacinths, but there was no unpleasant odor.
The island had many plants (various fruits) and animals (pythons, crocodiles, catfish, etc.), and the guide led the tour, providing very enthusiastic explanations. At the narrow section of the river where boats were manually rowed, the guide mentioned that a tip was expected for the rowers. Before the tour ended, the guide suggested that if we were satisfied with the trip, we could also tip him; I felt I had to give him something, otherwise I'd feel awkward.★

A trip really comes down to the environment and the tour guide. Jimmy was an experienced and energetic guide and host which multiplied the entire experience make sure you give that guy a raise. The tunnels are a must and both an educational and exciting experience. I didn’t find the river as exciting however Jimmy and new friends made the experience worthwhile. Definitely go with this company and hope to get Jimmy!★

An interesting trip on the site of the vietcong resistence tunnel complex with insight into thensuffering andningenuity of the guerilla fighters there for 20 years. Tableau and bamboo huts constrcted around original living and fighting zones and reproductions of traps and weapons. However, the trail is very crowded and the tunnels too small and cramped for most people to go in. Shooting range at the end ear-splitting (although there are ear defenders). Lunch of boiled Casaava - guerilla food! Great guide, Lam. Bus was 25 minutes late but due to tardy passengwrs at earlier pick ups. Good value. Prepare for 2 hour ride each way★

We had a great day on the Mekong Delta tour and really enjoyed the whole experience. Our guide Kero was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip very enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was wonderful to spend the day outdoors in the fresh air.
The highlight for me was definitely the bicycle ride through the jungle – it was beautiful, peaceful, and a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended!
