Discover the beauty of fjords and valleys carved by glaciers 10,000 years ago with this guided hike to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock). Lysefjorden is one of the most beautiful fjords and is located just 30 minutes from Stavanger. Hike with a a guide that was born and raised in one of the smaller villages in Lysefjorden.

Start with pickup from the Cruise Terminal in Stavanger in a comfortable bus. Arrive at the starting point of the hike after a scenic drive (around 40 minutes). Get ready for the hike with your guide who is happy to answer your questions along the way.

Walk thorugh the woods, crossing small streams as you gain elevation towards Pulpit Rock. Once you have passed the steep hilly area, the nature changes in to mountains with less trees, opening up a into majestic views, especially on nice and sunny days.

Return to the starting point of the hike and get back on the bus where you can rest on the way back to Stavanger.

The hiking trip to Pulpit Rock starts 270 meters above the sea level and in the beginning is fairly steep, but overall a nice walk. The hike lasts about 4 hours round-trip.
