Reviews: Gap of Dunloe & Lakes of Killlarney Boat Tour
Guest User2025-10-31
The jaunting car driver and that experience was AMAZING!! 10 out of 10! Same for the boat ride and the Captain of the boat, both were outstanding!! The part that was about a 2 out of 10 was the transportation to and from the tour. The driver was rushed and not friendly at all and drove so hurriedly that many people on the bus were feeling ill and were not impressed. I only give that part a 2 rather than a zero because he got us there alive.

Diarmurd and Brain were great hosts who knew what they were talking about and made the trip very enjoyable.
Reviews: Guided Killarney National Park Walking Tour
Guest User2024-09-11
We throughly enjoyed our guided walk through the Killarney National Park with Richard Clancy . He is so knowledgeable and personable , we didn’t want our walk to end. You will get to experience the splendor of Ireland off the beaten path. We even saw the rowing team!

Loved the horse and carriage ride through the valley. Our guide was knowledgeable, funny and helpful. Great guide as well that took us on the boat back to Killarney. An excellent excursion and a highlight of our trip.
Reviews: Gap of Dunloe: Lakes of Killarney Boat Tour and Scenic Walk
Guest User2025-08-16
The hike is magnificent. It's self-guided from the designated starting point (so you can arrive whenever you like; allow approximately 2.5-3 hours for the walk). Be warned: it's very strenuous! The boat trip was lovely (even though we couldn't hear the guide's commentary as we were seated at the end of the boat). The return trip was by bus, and we didn't have to pay anything. All in all, a fantastic day out; I highly recommend it!
Reviews: Bus, Boat & Jaunting Cart Tour (Jaunting Cart Paid Separately)
Guest User2024-05-22
This was a really fun excursion! From the meeting point, you are bussed out to where the jaunting carts congregate. The drivers are very organized, four people to a jaunting cart (cash only), so our party of two was paired with another couple.Liam and his dad were great guides; very entertaining:). Be warned that there is a portion of the ride where everyone gets out and walks up a couple of steep hills. I had a walking boot on at the time, so was able to stay in the cart, which made this a pretty good activity to get out and see a lot of things even with limited mobility. There is a nice restaurant (cash only) where are you take a break for a while before the boats take off back to Killarney. The boats are small, open boats, and you go across the lakes until you get back to town. Very scenic!
