I joined a tour led by a Japanese guide fluent in English. The audio guide is accessed by scanning a QR code in the seat pocket. I received an Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium brochure with the map and show info. After arriving, we walked 15 minutes from the bus to the entrance, waited about 5 minutes for our guide to buy tickets, and spent about 3 hours there. I recommend finishing the main tank by 12:30 PM for the 1:00 PM dolphin show. After the show you can explore other tanks, shop, or eat. There’s a Blue Seal ice cream shop nearby. Don’t forget to finish any food before boarding! Next, We stopped at Kouri Island (a beach near Kouri Bridge) for 20 minutes. The view was stunning. Then, we arrive at Cape Manzamo around 4:30 PM, giving us a nice sunset silhouette. Choosing the drop-off, Okinawa City Center (50 minutes at American Village) or American Village, I recommend American Village for more time. You can return by bus; it might be late but it will come. Recommended for everyone!

This time, I booked the five-in-one package, which was very convenient to use—just scan the QR code on my phone. Besides the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, we also visited Okinawa World (Gyokusendo Cave) and the Ocean Tower on Kouri Island. Each place was fantastic and well worth exploring. The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is famous for its massive "Kuroshio Sea" tank, where you can observe whale sharks and stingrays swimming up close—a truly breathtaking experience. The aquarium showcases Okinawa's coral reefs and deep-sea ecosystem, and also features a dolphin theater and sea turtle exhibits, making it both educational and entertaining—a must-visit for families and tourists alike.

The tour started at 8:10 AM from the designated location. We departed on time. The bus was 80% filled with Chinese tourists. The guide, apparently Chinese, spent most of her time speaking her native language and spoke English. Afterward, she approached our group on the bus and recited the story in Shakespearean. She was an active, lively guide, in a word. We passed all the reference points within the agreed-upon time and arrived at the drop-off point on time. The tour was an adventure.

This trip to Okinawa was a family vacation, but we didn't want to rent a car and drive ourselves, so we opted for a group tour instead. Our tour guide was very attentive in explaining the itinerary, and the arrangements were excellent. Manzamo Cape was beautiful, and the dolphin show at the Tsukaima Beach was spectacular. Lunch included Okinawan rice and barley tea, which looked simple but were delicious! There was a little mishap though – I accidentally lost my bag…it contained many things. Luckily, Ms. Lin was very kind and offered to help us inquire, and said she would be going there again that day and could help us retrieve it if she saw it, and we could meet up again…In the end, thankfully it really was left at the Tsukaima Beach and someone found it. Thank you so much, Ms. Lin, for retrieving it for us! Okinawa is truly a beautiful place, with delicious food and kind people! A special thank you to Ms. Lin who took us on this tour on March 23rd!

Our tour guide, Qianqian, was fantastic! She was incredibly engaging and her explanations of the sights were lively and interesting. Towards the end of the trip, she even introduced us to other attractions in Okinawa and shared lots of information about good food and shopping. The overall time allotted for the trip was also very well-planned, and we even saw a dolphin show at the aquarium! Overall, it was excellent value for money!


