Journey through the dark days of the Middle Ages, the cacophony of the Reformation and the splendor of the Baroque Age. Revisit the events of 1989, walk through the historic old town, soak up the atmosphere in Newmarket Square and admire the Church of Our Lady.

After your walk, you can experience Dresden's unique Panometer, a former gasometer which houses one of the world's largest panorama paintings by Yadegar Asisi.

NEW! Since March 2026 the Panometer shows a new picture, the Great Barrier Reef.
In the 360° panorama GREAT BARRIER REEF - Discover the wondrous world of the coral reef, visitors explore the unique underwater world of the coral reef off the northeast coast of Australia.
The panorama reveals the underwater world as if from a point below sea level. In color gradients of blue, azure, and green shades, the refraction of light in the ocean brings the alien world of corals and sea creatures to life, especially near the water's surface in the panorama.

Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM; Saturday/Sunday/Holidays, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM

• Ticket is valid for 1 entrance during opening hours

• Please note that the guide from the walking tour does not accompany you to the Panometer and that the Panometer is outside of the city center

• Your visit to the Panometer can be done before or after the walking tour, depending on which time you choose for the walking tour

We ask school classes and youth groups (with participants under 15 years of age) of 10 people or more to book an exklusive group tour.
