

▲ The Shenyang Imperial Palace is located at No. 171 Shenyang Road, Shenhe District, Shenyang. Construction began in 1625 and continued through the reigns of Nurhaci, Huangtaiji, and Qianlong. Covering approximately 60,000 square meters, it features 114 ancient buildings with over 500 rooms, divided into eastern, central, and western sections. The eastern section's Dazheng Hall and Ten Kings Pavilions reflect the Eight Banners system. The central section is the main area, where the Daqing Gate and Chongzheng Hall exude solemnity, while buildings like the Qingning Palace showcase the Manchu architectural style of "high palaces and low halls" with distinctive "pocket houses and zigzag kang beds." The western section's Wensu Pavilion housed the Complete Library of the Four Treasuries. As the only intact imperial palace complex in China besides the Forbidden City in Beijing, it is a National First-Class Museum and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, embodying profound historical and cultural significance.


▲ Marshal Zhang's Mansion Museum is located at No. 48, Marshal's Mansion Lane, Chaoyang Street, Shenhe District, Shenyang. It served as both the official residence and private home of Zhang Zuolin and Zhang Xueliang. Construction began in 1914 and was completed in 1933, covering a total area of 53,000 square meters with a floor space of 35,000 square meters. The architectural style is diverse, blending traditional Chinese elements with Sino-Western fusion. Notable structures include the Big Blue Mansion, Small Blue Mansion, and Red Building Complex. The Big Blue Mansion stands as an architectural masterpiece and witnessed many significant historical events. In 1988, it was converted into Marshal Zhang's Mansion Museum. Recognized as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit, a National Second-Class Museum, and a National AAAA-level tourist attraction, it encapsulates a century of modern Northeast China's historical legacy.
