Lion City Sailors FC was established in 2020 under the ownership of global internet company, Sea, as Singapore's first-ever privatised professional football club.
The club was known as Home United in its previous iteration, and under its current banner, the Sailors envision becoming a leader in excellence and professionalism in Singapore football and the region.
Since its inception, the Sailors have won two Singapore Premier League titles and consistently flown the flag for the nation on the continental stage — most notably in 2025, when they made history in the Asian Football Confederation Champions League (ACL) Two by becoming the first Singaporean club to reach the final of a major Asian football competition.
