Reviews: Poás Volcano, Café Doka and Peace Falls Day Tour

We visited all the places listed. One drawback is that there's little time allocated to visit specific locations. Perhaps this is due to the specific selection of locations.

Amazing tour. I booked it the day of and we were still able to do this. We were sent a message on when the pickup will happen and they came promptly to pick us up from hotel. Our guide was very sweet and knowledgeable. He answered any questions we had. We stopped at the coffee farm first and had coffee and took some pictures. That was a quick stop. Then we stopped at another store and that was a quick stop too. The we spent the rest of the time at La Paz falls. We saw a lot of birds, animals, reptiles, even a sloth. We then had lunch which was buffet style and had a wide range of food choices and was really good. The we saw the falls. All the time our guide was with us giving us the information about the falls and the gardens. We were back at our hotel shortly after 5. It was a great tour. Thank you!

Recommendations for activity: - Good shoes (lots of walking) - Small backpack I went to Costa Rica with my father and decided to do this activity. This activity is an all day affair, and covers a multitude of things. We learned about coffee at the Doka Estates— drank lots of coffee in the process. We then went to the Volcano. Keep in mind you might have to hang around for an hour to see the crater (we went during the rainy season). It was hard to get a visible view of the crater. We were able to get a good view for 30 seconds and that’s it. Later we checked out the waterfalls, which I must say was gorgeous! The lunch was included— it was a buffet style lunch. I would recommend doing this tour if you want to complete several activity’s in one day. My only gripe was the tour guide was a little overwhelming. He constantly checked in on us like we were kids, other than that, the tour was good.

Highly recommended! The 11am group tour was informative and highly entertaining. Probably the most entertaining tour I’ve ever had! We also did a private tour at 8:30am just with Luis, which I highly recommend. We visited a plantation and he walked us through all the interesting details of how coffee is farmed and the history of it. Luis was amazing and you should definitely do this tour!

We booked originally for a different trip but they called and recommended solstice at Ostional it would take longer but they were right it was worth it olive ridley turtles everywhere just like most wildlife they like to be away from people so the drive was long and road had been washed out in places but beach time was amazing.
