A perfect day trip to the two islands of Lake Titicaca. I heard a lot about the floating islands and they were one of the things I looked forward to the most. Abel was our tour guide and he was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. The tour company was very easy to reach and helpful me planned this trip smoothly.

If you enjoy highly organized and staged tourist experiences, you'll be well served on the Uros Islands. A circumnavigation of Lake Titicaca will cost extra. However, the guide's explanation of the islands' construction was very interesting. The subsequent visit to Taquile Island was much more enjoyable: less touristy, less contrived. The meal was excellent, especially the grilled trout. Perhaps staying overnight on the island with the locals offers a more authentic experience.


