Applicable scope

1. This service is exclusively for passengers who have booked flights departing from Hong Kong International Airport with the primary operating airline participating in the SkyPier intermodal service and requiring cross-border transfers. It does not apply to passengers needing to enter Hong Kong city area or access non-restricted zones of Hong Kong International Airport.

(2) Applies only to passengers transiting through Hong Kong International Airport to a third country (region), and does not apply to passengers with Mainland China as their final destination.

(3) Not applicable to passengers with waitlisted flight tickets, unaccompanied minors, or stretcher passengers. Pregnant women and passengers with limited mobility must apply in advance with the airline and present the airline-approved documentation.

(4) According to relevant regulations, Chinese citizens holding private passports who need to transit through Taipei Taoyuan Airport to a third country (region) must depart from one of the following three airports: Chongqing, Nanchang, or Kunming.

Important Notice: Only passengers holding a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents are allowed to enter or transit through Taiwan. Other passengers cannot enter or transit through Taiwan from any port in Guangdong. If your flight ticket includes a transit in Taiwan, please do not book this ferry ticket. China Customs and Border Inspection will not grant clearance, and any resulting losses shall be borne solely by the passenger.

Important Note: The transfer time between the ferry departure time and the flight departure time must be greater than or equal to (the transfer time in the following table + 40 min).

For example: Xiao Ming's flight ticket is on Cathay Pacific departing at 20:25, with a minimum connecting time of 70+40=110 min. Therefore, Xiao Ming should purchase a TurboJet departure time slot before 18:35.

Morning flight services for Hong Kong Airport routes

Shekou Cruise Home Port offers morning flight services for passengers of certain airlines with the SkyPier service. For flight tickets booked with departure times at or before 13:15 from Hong Kong International Airport, passengers can book the last cruise of the previous day to the SkyPier at Hong Kong International Airport. Please note that passengers can only wait for boarding in the departure area of Hong Kong International Airport and are not permitted to stay at hotels outside the airport departure area.

2.Booking Conditions

1. Passengers must hold a valid flight ticket from Hong Kong International Airport with a confirmed flight, where the ticket time matches the Ferries ticket time or is valid until 3:00 AM the following day.

(2) When booking ferries, passengers must accurately provide the actual flight number and personal info.

(3) Passengers must allow sufficient transfer time between the arrival time of their selected ferry at the Hong Kong International Airport SkyPier and the flight ticket departure time to meet the connection requirements. The minimum transfer time required is:

a. For flights booked with airlines that offer pre-check-in services and have completed port check-in and boarding procedures, the cross-border transfer connection time must be at least 90 minutes (note: some airlines may require 120 minutes; please refer to the "Sea-Air Intermodal Airlines List" for details).

b. For flights booked with airlines that offer pre-check-in services but fail to complete check-in procedures at the port, as well as flights booked with airlines that do not provide pre-check-in services, the cross-border transfer connection time must be at least 150 minutes.

c. For flights booked with airlines that do not offer pre-check-in services, due to the limited operating hours of the airline check-in counters at the Hong Kong International Airport SkyPier, only ferry departures from Shekou Cruise Home Port between 08:45 and 19:00 can be booked.

(4) For flight tickets with a scheduled departure time of 10:15 or earlier from Hong Kong International Airport, and when there is no earliest ferry connection available on the same day, passengers can book the last ferry of the previous day to the SkyPier at Hong Kong International Airport (applicable only to select airlines offering morning flight services; refer to the "Intermodal Air-Sea Transfer Airlines List" for details).

5. If the passenger's booked flight is a codeshare flight, the passenger should verify whether the primary operating carrier of the booked flight participates in the SkyPier service. When booking boat tickets, the flight number of the primary operating carrier must be correctly entered. If the primary operating carrier of the booked codeshare flight is not listed among the SkyPier participating airlines, boat tickets for the Hong Kong Airport route cannot be booked.

6. Passengers must ensure they possess the required travel documents and entry supporting materials for the destination country/region, including but not limited to passport, required visas for both destination and transit locations, return or onward flight ticket, and other supporting documents that meet the destination's entry requirements.

(7) Passengers of certain nationalities transiting through Hong Kong International Airport may need to obtain a Hong Kong Transit Visa issued by the Hong Kong Immigration Department in advance. Please refer to relevant regulations for details.

8. If passengers are unable to depart from Hong Kong International Airport due to failure to meet any of the above requirements or other personal reasons, they will be returned to their place of origin in accordance with relevant regulations. Passengers shall bear the cost of ferry tickets and other related expenses for returning to mainland China.

Boarding instructions

1. Check-in Procedures:

(1) Passengers are advised to check in for their cruise or flight at the Hong Kong Airport check-in counter on the second floor of Shekou Cruise Home Port at least 120 minutes before the departure time printed on the ticket. For cruises with a printed departure time of 07:15, the check-in counter will open at 06:00.

(2) Check-in and baggage drop services will cease 90 minutes before the departure time indicated on the ferry ticket. Boarding will stop 60 minutes before the departure time.

(3) If passengers fail to complete check-in and boarding procedures before the time indicated on the ferry ticket, it may result in insufficient cross-border transfer time and delay the itinerary. All losses incurred due to this shall be borne by the passengers themselves.

2. Luggage Check-in

(1) Each passenger is allowed to check in 1 piece of luggage for free, with a maximum weight of 30 kg and dimensions not exceeding 158 cm (length + width + height).

(2) For each piece of checked baggage exceeding the free allowance, a fee of CNY 30 will be charged. An additional CNY 30 will be charged for each piece weighing over 30 kg but under 32 kg, or under 30 kg with dimensions exceeding 158 cm (length + width + height).

3. The excess baggage charges for the Hong Kong Airport ferry route are for high-speed ferry checked baggage fees and do not include the overweight checked baggage fees charged by airlines.

4. Please strictly adhere to the checked baggage allowance and airline requirements when packing your luggage to avoid travel delays. Except for Cathay Pacific, which can collect excess baggage fees for flights at the Shekou Cruise Home Port, other airlines currently cannot process such payments at the port. If your luggage is overweight, exceeds the piece limit, or is oversized, you must pay the fees at the airline check-in counters in the SkyPier terminal of Hong Kong International Airport.

3.Tax Refund for Departure

If the flight ticket booked by the passenger includes prepaid Air Passenger Departure Tax, they can collect the HKD 200 tax refund at the Departure Tax Refund Counter after passing security at the Hong Kong International Airport SkyPier. If not collected in time, passengers need to contact the airline directly.
