The Ngari region is dotted with lakes, rivers, towering mountains, glaciers, clay forests and grasslands.Ngari is one of the least populated regions in the world, with a population of only 0.3 people per square kilometer. The early civilization of Ngari dates back to the 2nd century AD, and the region is home to numerous historical sites. Starting from Lhasa, you will explore this holy city, visiting iconic sites such as the Potala Palace and the Jokhang Temple. You will then continue to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet, passing the sacred lake Yamdrok Yumtso. Spend a night at the Everest Base Camp and enter the Ngari region via Shishapangma.The three-day Mount Kailash trek will be the highlight of the trip.
