Diexi Lake

Formed by an ancient earthquake that caused a mountain collapse and blocked a river, Diexi Lake is a crystal-clear body of water with submerged ancient ruins visible beneath the surface. These ruins tell stories of the past. The surrounding mountains are reflected in the lake, creating a breathtaking landscape. Songpan Ancient Town

This 1,300-year-old town is a perfect blend of Tibetan, Qiang, and Han cultures. Strolling through the town's streets, you will see traditional Tibetan houses, Qiang watchtowers, and Han-style temples, each representing a different cultural heritage. Depart from Chengdu and visit Dujiangyan Panda Valley, a semi-wild conservation center where you can see giant pandas living in a near-natural environment. Continue to Diexi Lake, a hauntingly beautiful lake created by an ancient earthquake, offering dramatic views of submerged ruins and alpine serenity.

Later, continue to Wenchuan for overnight stay.

Day 4: Wenchuan – Maobiliang – Shuangqiao Valley (Mt. Siguniang) – Chengdu

Maobiliang Viewpoint 

Maobiliang Viewpoint is located near the town of Siguniang Mountain and is an excellent spot to enjoy panoramic views of the Four Sisters Mountains. The peaks, especially the majestic Yaomei Peak, are clearly visible from here.

Shuangqiao Valley

Shuangqiao Valley is one of the three major valleys in the Mt. Siguniang Scenic Area. It stretches for about 30 kilometers and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, glaciers, forests, and meadows. Known as the "Oriental Switzerland," the valley features diverse landscapes and is ideal for photography and hiking. Eco-shuttles are available to take visitors to the end of the valley, making it easy to explore attractions like the Redwood Forest, Five-Colored Mountain, and Bonsai Beach. The best time to visit is in summer and autumn when the scenery is most vibrant.

Start the day with a stop at Maobiliang Viewpoint, a famous spot for panoramic photos of the majestic Yaomei Peak, the tallest of the Four Sisters Mountains.

Then explore the beautiful Shuangqiao Valley inside Mt. Siguniang National Park. Travel by eco-shuttle through a stunning alpine valley filled with glaciers, meadows, and traditional Tibetan wooden houses.

In the afternoon, return to Chengdu, completing your journey through Sichuan's most enchanting natural and cultural landscapes.
