Great trip! Our guide Lucy was knowledgeable, patient and attentive to the needs of travellers of different ages. We took the return cable to Tower 14 which was perfect - easy route for the elderly or anyone with leg issues. It was sunny in the morning - we had 4 hours on the Great Wall which gave us sufficient time to explore and take alot of amazing photos. Summer palace was great too but weather turned cloudy and was drizzling which can't be helped. All in all, no complaints.

Today, we took a bus tour with our guide, Yang, on a tour of the Summer Palace, Old Summer Palace, and Mutianyu Great Wall. His explanations were fantastic! He was incredibly detailed and conscientious, explaining each attraction in a detailed and vivid way. He not only provided historical context but also shared many interesting anecdotes, which gave us a deeper understanding of each site. He was warm and attentive throughout, with a well-paced tour. It was a fantastic experience, highly recommended, and I hope to see you again!

The large car we arranged was very comfortable. Mutianyu Great Wall was very quiet, making it perfect for taking photos. The cable car slid down the wall, making it a fun and enjoyable experience for the kids. 😀
The boat tour of the Summer Palace was also very comfortable, as it didn't require much walking.
We found a place to have afternoon tea inside the Summer Palace. The pastries and tea were even better than we expected.

Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huairou District, Beijing. It connects Gubeikou in the east and Juyongguan in the west. It is the core of the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty and is known as "Mutianyu is the most beautiful part of the Great Wall".
The Summer Palace, an ancient imperial garden in Beijing, formerly known as the Garden of Clear Ripples, is located in the western suburbs of Beijing, adjacent to the Old Summer Palace. Built on the site of Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, and modeled after West Lake in Hangzhou, it draws on the design techniques of Jiangnan gardens. It is a large-scale landscape garden, a well-preserved imperial palace, known as the "Royal Garden Museum," and a national key tourist attraction.
