Reviews: Rotorua Small-Group Day Tour from Auckland

Excellent, lively and knowledgeable driver cum guide Bunty who not only shared immensely useful Information but kept us entertained through his anecdotes and engaging conversations. Went out of the way to give us unique experience of visiting the swinging bridge and accommodated a request to visit a friend to say hello and yet kept the time. Given the start was very early, he ensured that we have brief stop for coffee and snack before heading out to first of the two engagements for the day. This itself made the visit memorable additional to visit to glow worm caves and visit to Geysers and sumptuous lunch. Overall a fantastic trip…Kudos to FlexiToursNZ who kept their words of keeping the vehicle suited for small group with comfortable seats.
Reviews: From Auckland: Rotorua via Waitomo Caves One-Way Tour

The experience was excellent. We really liked our guide, Liam, from the moment he picked us up, thanks to his kindness, his help with our luggage, and his punctuality. The tour was superb; Liam went out of his way to give us interesting information about the places we passed. When we arrived at Waitomo Caves, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and on the way out, we had the opportunity to visit an electrical substation that we didn't know was part of the itinerary, which we also really enjoyed. The transportation was very good and fast to our final destination.

Peaceful Glowworm experience as described. Our guide Forest made this to a unique memory.
Reviews: Day Tour Hobbiton + Rotorua from Auckland in Luxury Minibus
Guest User2025-11-23
The tour company, FlexiToursNZ mixed and matched tour groups and we had three different vans! Things went like clockwork except for one pick up issue they resolved with limited delay. Excellent lunch overlooking the geyser at Rotorua. Fully guided two hour tour at both Hobbiton and Rotoura. Rotoura included a kiwi habitat and the Moiri school for craftsmen.
Reviews: From: Auckland: Rotorua via Hobbiton Tour One Way Tour

We did the one way tour of Hobbiton and were dropped in Rotorua. The driver was safe and fun and has a thing for avacados. If you get Ale, bring him an avacado. Also, brush up on your Rings trivia - there are prizes. Sam was training to be a guide the day we took this tour and i think he will do just fine when he finds a mic that actually works. I tore my knee the morning of this transfer and had to sit out the tour in the wonderful Hobbiton cafe - but my son truly enjoyed it - even tho he got a bit wet because he didn't take his jacket as i suggested. Always listen to your mom. I would recommend this tour/transfer.
