The Egyptian Museum in Cairo
The Egyptian Museum in Cairo was designed and built in 1858 by the renowned French archaeologist Mariette, known as "the father of the Egyptian Museum" by Egyptians, in Boulaq, northern Cairo. It is one of the world's most famous museums, housing over 300,000 historical artifacts from the era of ancient Egyptian pharaohs to the 6th century AD, with approx. 63,000 items on display, representing approx. one-fifth of its total collection. As the museum primarily collects artifacts from the pharaonic period, Egyptians commonly refer to it as "the museum of the pharaohs".

Khan el-Khalili
The ancient Egyptian market, Khan el-Khalili. As early as the late 14th century, this was already a frequented local market. It's a must-visit to experience retro Arabian charm.
