The Peak Tram is one of the world's most famous and historic cable railways. Since its official opening in May 1888, it has been transporting passengers daily between Hong Kong's Central business district and The Peak.
The Peak Tram operates with a bidirectional cable system, featuring a track length of 1.27 km and gradients ranging from 4 to 25.7 degrees, traversing between altitudes of 33m to 396m. As one of Hong Kong's most popular tourist attractions, its terminal is located at The Peak Tower, where passengers can enjoy panoramic views.
Perched atop The Peak, the Peak Tower stands as one of Hong Kong's most distinctive landmarks and a premier tourist attraction. The tower houses stylish restaurants with breathtaking views and a range of creative dining options, complemented by the traditional street-style Peak Market. Enhanced by special indoor and outdoor lighting effects, the Peak Tower has become one of the city's most popular leisure destinations, creating unforgettable experiences for both local residents and international visitors.
