Visiting a zoo at night is a unique experience, and children are sure to love it. There are only two night zoos in the world: one in Chiang Mai and the other in Singapore. The zoo, located southwest of Chiang Mai in Doi Suthep National Park, covers nearly 100 acres and opened to the public in 2006. It features many animals from Africa, many of which are nocturnal due to the hot climate. Daytime visits often reveal sleeping or lazing animals, but they emerge at nightfall, making nighttime the perfect time for animal viewing. After purchasing your activity and entering, you'll be greeted by a unique performance of song, dance, and acrobatics in the square.
