Our driver was very helpful when we first boarded. I needed a charging cable & he told me where on our route I could hop off to get one on our way to the castle. Very cordial, friendly and welcoming. From the young folk that sell the tickets to the ones that drive you around. Overall a very clean, comfortable ride. They provide headphones for the audio on board in several languages for all visitors.

Aurore was an excellent tour guide—informative, engaging, and highly knowledgeable. The tour was particularly enjoyable due to the way Aurore incorporated local folklore and highlighted how many of these historical references continue to influence everyday language today.

Niamh was awesome! This dark side tour was everything we hoped for and more. Niamh is a great story teller, she’s funny and did a fantastic job! Highly recommend this tour so you can see some of the highlights of Edinburgh, including Calton Hill, the coolest cemetery I’ve ever seen, a lot of history, and some scary stories. I learned what “poop faced” means, too! (Wouldn’t let me use the real word. lol

Ben had a nice informal style, but was able to gently control the group so that we stayed on track. There were lots of varied topics and he qualified some of the anecdotes and 'guides stories' when their provenance was in question.

We had Jack and Linda as our guides and they were incredible. The history of Edinburgh is completely fascinating and I had no idea it was so gory! Although I'm a bit of a sceptic when it comes to ghosts and paranormal activity, I still felt spooked when down in the vaults. The ticket was a bit pricey but I'd say it's definitely worth the money.


